I'm still pheno hunting for some heat. I like my starfighter x longbottom leaf #3 from my first run so far but #4 has promise. New to my second round is 5 hyper glue from reno genetics (gg#4 x Kashmir), 2 DJs gold from DNA (DJ Shorts blueberry x Jew gold), and 2 new starfighter x longbottom leaf. 5 in organic soil and the rest in coco. They're all in 3 gal smart pots except the hyper glue which are in #1 hard pots. I just up potted the coco girls Tues. And lollipopped the shit out of em all. They're about 3' tall right now. Gonna get em nice and healthy and flip the switch. Prob 2 weeks. I need the time anyway. I have to fix a few light leaks, hook up the second light and get it all dialed in. I'm really hoping I can bring this one in clean this run.

Here they are right after up potting, training and being fed. Ran hard and put away wet lol
3 foot tall???????
Holy shit batman!
They are gonna be huge!
I would supercrop them all, and put a net dead on top of them, wait a few days and flip!
How tall are your ceilings?

U did awesome with that manifold tho bro! Im genuinely impressed. Is this your first grow? Im only gonna have to ask these questions 10 more times lmao..
But see im starting to get familiar with your arrangements...
As for AN,,,,,
Just kidding lol
I don't know a damn thing about them.
Here is what I say,
rock that shit.
Tell them its not about that nutrient,
its about that grower.....
I mean NPK is
NPK .....

But my response is this... See how thick that stock is,
fucking awesome aint it?
Its really goona move some water!
BUT>>>>>>>>
Its to our advantage to be able to bend the plant the way you want..
I bet you couldnt break that stump with the neighbors ford... :)
Im a chevy guy!
But my point is, your lsting to open up the plant to get as many tops up there as possible!
Mainlining is IMO
for low light or low height situations...
I feel there is a better technique(s) for your setup..

Maybe I can explain this different...
If a plant is left alone to grow straight to 7 nodes,
then topped down to right above the 4th one.
It will shoot 2 new lil shoots out and that node,
by waiting till it has 7 nodes, by then
the root structure is more developed to help in recovery,,, but also
it gives time for all the branches underneath that node to catch up..
Here is the trick...
When you do that have a scrog net already built that you can slide right over it now just 5" higher than where you topped..
As she grows make them branches go out to each corner,,,
When she is ALMOST there, top them tops...
All the branches under will shoot up thru the net,,
keep tucking...
Wait 10 days and flip...
It will take less time, and you will acomplish what you trying to with that...
I mean what your doing will work, and work well,
but in may not be as efficient of a use of time/space/costs/security/
Also I agree 1000% there is a better way for my setup and the more I go I realize that more. I'm thinking like we were talking the 1/2 gallon 15-20 plant dtw system or a similar dtw system with scrog. You guys really got me thinking the other day and kicked my ass into gear. Pulling the boot straps up now. I've been lazy past couple weeks. But as for these girls the manifold is now done so no more cutting them so they should really start taking off. The passed few days the growth has been outrageous. Before that it was very slow because I topped at 6 nodes down to 3rd and once they were ready I topped again. Also the initial LST is pretty rough for the small plants when pulling them to an 90 degree. They should be very happy being left alone to grow the next couple weeks. Then I'll get rid of everything below 18" when I flip. Then try defoliating one more time two weeks later scrog or not

Haha. I hear ya bro. This is my second Grow. I just harvested some GSG bag seed turned out fire. chwck the pics in my thread a few pages back.
The last Grow I did topping and training but no mainline and it did great. 1 plant (I had 4 and 3 were herms. Bagseed) 3.8 oz and it was 24"x24 ". I had them a lil smaller thinking I had 4 females cuz they all showed pistils everywhere. Lol.
The reason I'm mainlining this time isn't for height but for the equal distribution of nutes and energy thru the plant. I believe it makes sense because although my last Grow had hella tops (18) or so, they were kinda uneven in size.
So I will only be pulling every main to the edge of the pot or so and let them pretty much go straight up from there. It should allow for some secondary shots to reach the top. It added veg time but I'm ok with that and I'm going to wait until they are a good size taller to flip
I am highly considering setting a scrog up. I have the trellis and pvc sitting there waiting. Lol. Just haven't done it yet because of the not being automated. And that will be done this weekend
That makes sense and I have heard that communicated here before. I dont know the power of that statement. Wisher has a way of lollipopping and cleaning them up all the way damn near to the top, which distributes his weight around..
But your right the more tops the smaller they tend to be..
Really its like our blood system.. Bigger vein feed smaller veins...

I think they will produce EXCELLENT FOR YOU! Will be some huge buds if her genetics is on par... She is set up to have a few monster colas!

Lol, taller than I wanted for sure. My ceilings are 8'. I have been stalling them to give me time to fix up my bloom room. I lst'd anything over 2'-6" there are only a few in there that I'm worried about stretching too much but I'll just put the pimp hand down lol. I can't do a scrog in this space yet. I wouldn't be able to get to the ones in the back. I'm gonna stake em up this week some time. They will get shorter as I spread them out a little I'm sure.

Ya I didnt know if feeding tea in coco with out no nutes in it, but if im correct it does have a slight bit of N in it eh?
think of the tea as a weekley flush
make it say every sunday
so Mon-Sat feed and sunday give a flush of tea
you can ph the tea......if you wanted
but really because it has no real NPK value and the plants are really only creating a simbiotic relationship with the contents of the tea.....ph and NPK dosnt really matter

Got you...
Well let me bring you up to speed..
So I made my res last night and hand fed them there first feeding...
.5 ml of Si
1.5 ml of calmag
3 ml of grow
1 ml of floralicious +
2 ml of hydrogaurd
Came out to 1. 36 Ec and ph to 5.8

Fed each pot 50 ml for a total of 350 ml
My run off was 200 ml
Si its evident that I prob can drop that to 25 ml per pot..

The one cool thing I like about having the drain pan, is I can do calculations like the one above to find my 10-20 % runoff range... So it does give me a level of control. What else I like is the fact, you ph/ec once and she is good...
I put a 250 gph water pump in my res 15 on/15 off to keep it circulated. I went ahead and copied your hose up then 45, to shoot the water from the bottom to the top like the waterfall...
So far I am happy with it.. My manifolds should be in the afternoon, so we should be getting her tuned up tonight :)

Do have a question tho... Last time i brewed tea a week ago, it foamed up a lot more.. Materfact i dont see any foam really... I used ro water this time, because i planned to feed the coco. last time it was soil so i used tap... Would it make a difference? I am under the impression I want to see foam!!!! right? Got me a lil concerned....

Got lazy for awhile there, but I'm out of my funk now lol! I got lucky with the hyper glues, all 5 are female. They're in coco and getting fed Nectar For The Gods advanced line. I think I got one in every size :D They start at about 10" and go to about 26". They're starting to branch out, I like the structure on them. Looked back in the thread, these went into a shot glass on March 8 and were above ground 2 days later so they're roughly 3 1/2 months from seed. I'll be flipping in about 2 weeks.

What is them grated things your pots are setting on.. I mean I know its prob a tray to catch runoff, but is there a cord coming from it?
You better NEVER veg for 3.5 months ever again.. I come kick ur ass.. lol
Bro you work so much, its a bear im sure trying to keep on top of everything!
Wisher made me chop the top 3 nodes off of every branch on my big girls cause he said they would stretch to far.. I didnt want to cut none off my tops but like a good padawan, i followed orders..
Thank God I did, I cut almost a foot off the top of my plants. And they grew (stretched) right to the max point i could of handled it.. That foot would of fucked my whole footprint up, and caused me very stressed buds...
But he saved me with that advice, and im tankfull.. But i only have 6' where you have 8' so your in a better situation... But know this, any thing under 12 to 18 " isnt goona be worth shit, and it will steal girth from your tops because it has to feed that scruff...
When you get these plants harvested, what is your setup plan moving forward?
I know you were trying out the soil this time.. If your conclusion is like mine, the soil will be put up for future situations where i might utilize it. But i will not reuse, for production, or pheno hunts... While its as easy as pie to grow in, I dont care for the growth that soil gives...
So we will give this coco dtw a shot and see what I think...
I think you should follow my footsteps with the dtw...
It would give you automation so things were easier to maintain..

I am not really sure about the tap/ro thing and foaming or not
I have been breeing for 48h lately to get the fungal instead of bacteria

unfortunately i do not remember much of what i did with plants just a blur early on. but the pictures do bring back some memories.. so im healing mentally too still.

i look at these plants and just shake my head.. learning to grow through withdrawals not the best idea iv ever had. laughs
IMG 0903 Copy

all the old plants are still alive.. #6 male, 1,2,3 were chicks.
sad plants and i over watered because i read bad info.. i read i should water when ever they reach for the sky, and also do not let the solo cup dry out. laughs.
i do remember you saying you can control node spacing with light while that is true to a point ( in my mind i did good at stretching them bitchs to have very long nodes.. laughs. my light was way to far away from my plants from the get go ).. its s till genetics tho on node spacing assuming light is perfect for there needs.

im just glad to be through the early stage of withdrawals.. thank you for the kind words.. my plants are doing well. :)

as far as im concern this is my first grow. the ones in flower were just a thing :D
bowls up,
