@MW7945
I have a half a bag of pot of gold coco I'm not using. My last run it took forever to get the root zone under 7.0 using that shit Headaches for sure. I'm using canna coco bricks this run.

Side note on that: They were planted in the Mother Earth stuff (6.5 buffer) so regardless there will be a small amount.
the mother earth is pure coco mixed with perlite
mother earth puts "PH adjusted" for idiots to look at....not saying you are an idiot
it is just a sales tactic...geared towards that old school soil grower
all .....ALL COCO is ph buffered unless you get big agg stuff...then you do it yourself....by...." running ph balanced fertigation throught your coco slab for 24 hours prior to planting"
that is stamped on big agg coco slabs

but the shit we buy in bags is good to go

just mix together and make sure you are always on top of you nutrient ph
always....nevermind the ec....make absolutely sure you are correct ph going in...5.5-6.0 preferably 5.8-5.9

you just want to see him thow money away
Well not really lol..
I didnt know it just only had peralite.
I thought it was one of them soil/coco mixes with peat moss, etc...
Its kinda misleading I guess by saying pre ph to 6.5..
Made me think it had amendments in it...

I still use the straight coco..
but thats just me....

Oh ya this is gonna work out great!
I should of did this a long time ago..!

In Coco I wouldn't recommend it. If you use 5 gal definitely go to 2 or 3 first. The only time I've had "overwatering" in Coco is when I put seedlings in a 5 gal. The bottom would get too waterlogged and lose O2.
Also I wasn't watering every day then so that attributed. If watering everyday you might not lose oxygen. But that's gonna take a lot to water and keep it all wet

Also I don't think 5gal are necessary for Coco indoors ever. You can grow trees in 2-3 gal pots.
All it will do is make veg longer because it's going take so long for the roots to fill the pot
I have a bunch of 4' gals in 3 gal coco smart pots and they were bigger before the back so I gotta agree.
Ya try it bro. I found that straight Coco is the best for me. Weekly tea and the pot is gonna be one big pearly white root ball. Beautiful. Perlite would start growing weird shit in it. Didn't make problems but I felt my roots would have a little off color. Straight Coco with tea and those things are like a pearl
I agree on the funny color with price. I have. O issues with my roots but straight coco gives you the ramen noodle roots. Check out @justiceman root tutorial threat and coco root shot threads. He swears by straight coco and does really well also. If It Wish does it you should probably do it to haha.
I disagree.. Throw that shit out just use the coco...
Sry Yoda...
If you remember correctly u did tell obi wan that im too hardheaded for a jedi knight lol..
Not to be a dick bit I mixed black gold coco/peat with straight coco and it was almost the same. It just held water a lil better.
Wisher prob could grow in a dog turd on Venus,
I think there's a thread on that grow lol

Ya I was late to finding out it only had peralite in it..
I was worried it had some kind of ph adjusters in it ..
Be fighting the ph the whole grow...

Here is the damn thing,,,,
I got 27 motherfuckers on my thread using cns17 and I cant get one of them hillbillies to give me their feed schedule :)
BOOM.......

That was my issue last time. I was feeding around 5.0 last time just to keep the pH below 6.5 :/

Was a huge pain in the ass. The plants did fine with it. But I think Aurora Indica is a pretty hardy plant from what I could tell.

That doesn't make sense to me.

In Coco you're going in pH is wayyyyy more important than your runoff.

IMO make sure your going in is exactly what it should be (5.8) and water to runoff every time. Don't even look at you're runoff ph. Maybe runoff ppm but not ph. It's gonna send you in a tail chasing frenzy. IMO.

I would never feed 5.0 to my plants no matter how high the runoff ph was reading.
If I felt it was outrageous I would run 5.8 thru it until it was lowered then continue my regular schedule. And I wouldn't expect the runoff to ever read same as going in.
