my method is actually per Agg Dept. Cal Poly San Louis Obispo

this is how Agg is taught to disinfect incomming clones of plant material before taking them in

So Wisher I am likely grabbing clones today. Should I plans on doing this, alone with my cuttings that will be out of the cloner in several more days, then put them isolated in the grow test under the flourish and eventually the third HPS if I can get it going? Keep them out of the grow room entirely? I am certain yesterday at least one of the cuttngs showed the same mottled look and dusting on it that I saw on the adults. Could be the listing but at this point am doubtful

no, they run in 70 days seed to harvest..
and you dont have to worry about a light schedule...
you can run your lights 12/12 or 18/6 or 20/4 or 24/0

I ran 20/4 the whole 70 days. I actually gave it 24/0 the last 2 weeks..

I actually gave some reg plants 24/0 last 2 weeks which was like week 11 and 12..
It made them purp out and the smoke was great..
beats me .......................................
Hmm. **Especially if I have to toss these 6 adults on the fire, I am wondering if maybe this is a good option for me...

Every so often I note guys saying they are gonna keep an eye on temp or humidity.

Not sure if this is meant literally or just a figure of speech.

But for those that may not yet have an auto data logging solution - and who don't necessarily toss out something I recommend due to my abysmally bad first grow!!!

The 1 piece of equipment I got for this that I both love and think is probably the single best value per dollar spent is this:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AEQ9X9...t=&hvlocphy=9033347&hvtargid=pla-375433369637

At just $50 You get the temp and humidity sensor and a reasonably nice, very intuitive app.

Operates over Bluetooth (with good transmitter as far as range too) and if you add their $100 gateway you can see the info across the net too.

Gives you unlimited historical logging viewable by hot, day or month with data taken every 15 minutes. Very accurate and nicely graphed, with very configurable alarms too.

Can list up to I think it is 5 sensors i.e. for like 5 different rooms within the app too.b

Not a moment's regret in having bought It!

Hope someone finds the info helpful.

Brother It was analysed and replaced 2.3756 secs after the post...
I was just sharing my journey with the fellas esp the new ones..

I have to say though this is one of the things I like about this forum and thread: folks sharing even the little stuff about their grow day, not assuming just because it might be simple that there isn't someone out there that could learn about it.

And it being ok for responders to share even basic answers because the person answering knows it's fine for them to cover the basics rather than assuming that since there are a number of gurus on here that everyone here also already fully understands the topic - and it being ok to respond with an answer that covers even the basics because someone newb (like me lol!) out there might learn from it. So thanks to you both!

Tbh, I don't need that. My $8 digital temp/humidity monitor does the job. I guess I'm using LED's in a pretty controlled environment though

Understandable not wanting to spend on something that will soon bw redundant!

It sends it via Bluetooth unless you get their gateway... though I have to wonder if their gateway isn't just a bridge, converting a Bluetooth message to SMS and if there aren't other companies doing the same for less money that might work.

Understandable... but the goal of it is:
1.Remotely
2.Historical data logging for analysis.

Not sure if those interest you or if maybe your digital one does that already, but if not and those interest you it might be something to consider during your shopping. I really like the logging. Keeps me honest as far as really assessing what my room does when I am not there and help determine fixes.

Hehe, besides, considering your LEDs it appears you aren't averse to spending money in up front equipment if it might make your success more likely and repeatable, right? ;)

yo, so where in this bible do i find info on flood trays/tables/drains etc ( id did not pay much attention to the hdyro stuff, my bad. even if flood trays will work with my boring dirt... ). i am gonna be redoing my setup over the next few weeks/months whatever, i guess as my health allows. its almost 2018.. what a trip! and this bending over shit is killing me.

today i need to go measure my space i should be able to fix 2 4x4 tents init and a clone/seedling spot but then i thought with the high sealing what if i could put a 4x4 tent to veg in, and just use the open space for flowering? just random thinking i have put zero thought into this new setup as i just learn yesterday i will be able to use the space. and ill keep my mother plants with me here for now. that seems like the plan for now maybe i dunno whats gonna happen in jan. but one day at a time.

So I've been reading the cannabis encyclopedia. And last night I read the harvest chapter, was curious if this would be applicable to indoor. Basically, it was speaking on outdoor. But if you had big enough plants indoor they might benefit.

essentially, you take the tops of the plants first, let the plant go a little longer, and keep harvesting down and so on. Claimed it could help outdoor plants yield up to 40% more. So, I'm thinking indoor might benefit even 10%? It said it was over a 2-6 week span so indoor you'd really only do 1-2 more weeks I'd assume

not when tou are scrogging like you are
you shouldnt have anything that needs to finish besides your tops

also Jorge Cervantes....is a joke

his book has some good info
and a shit ton of mis-information based on myth

so take alot of what he says about growing techniques ....with a grain of salt
good info on equipment/nutrient def/bugs/virus/light/grow styles....
pretty much all info that dosnt have his opinion in the info
outdoor people do this because plants get 10' tall by 6' round and when you chop the tops it is a weeks worth of work
it allows the smaller buds that were hidden to ripen more and finishih filling out while you are working breaking down the tops

I'm aware. The book is somewhat disappointing thus far honestly. It's good for someone that's looking to learn the basics but it's kind of all over the place and lacks a lot of science. Kinda covers the whole spectrum of growing/consuming, but in a pretty basic manner.

yeah but for your grow....you are good to go on harvest day
you will be snippin the entire crop

I've been doing my best to cut out fan leaves that are blocking smaller buds from the light too. Getting a ridiculous amount of tops. But there's still a ridiculous amount of leaves. Gonna be a loooong day when I harvest

I would def reccomend snipping all major fans 2 days before chop

then chopping and hang drying

once dry then trim off sugar leaf

I would look into some dry sift screens

not to pricey
and you do all your trimming over the screens
then all the trimmings you dry sift

end product.....full melt dry sift has

super AMAZING!!

I was just going to use one of these tbh.

Idk that I'll even get enough harvest for the big sifters to be worth it
