dont be disheartned brother, do you think i dont get this all the time?

But you present facts and real life examples that make sense. Not obtuse generalizations and disconnected analogy.

And you have stated before that a small indoor garden is not really adding to our soil issues.

Outside we use “black dirt” as the local small farmers call it. A friend with a dairy farm has been composting near the cow pasture and burying all the dead cow carcases for generations in the family farm.

But big business will continue to kill the earth for profit until they herd us all into the space ark in our quest for survival. And only paid ticket holders will be going. ;-)

Humans are predators. Destroyers. Waste makers. It is just a religious concept to believe otherwise. Hell we even destroy for religion.

Even in colonial times in America we blew up mountains to dig for gold and other precious minerals. Then simply buried the towns we worked in after with the next blown open mountain top.

I loved to backcountry snowboard around the climax mine in Colorado near Leadville. The mine shafts are still visible. But the homes are under the rubble.

nice of you to say, Co has some of the best boarding country on planet earth, you are extremely fortunate to have this on the doorstep bro, and not to let it become so familiar you forget to take it in and remember.

Most people try to do the right thing, its just a few assholes can sound like an army and we (me and may be others here) have apathy by the bucket load nowadays cause we are trying to makje the CC repayments. I couldnt give two shits about most things, but i do rather care for the soil and its ability to feed me, ergo i invested my time in this.
People are keen when they get in to biological soil, its a great place for fevered minds to sit as its so mind bindingly complex. I suspect i used to rant in semi controlled fashions in the past, but the deeper i go, the less confident I am in my ability to both understand its whole in the truly wild soil, and then be able to tell people without sounding like some pony used car salesman

Yes I know. We cannot come out and say that because someone uses salt-based fertz that their intent is to destroy the planet. I was going to add that @MIMedGrower and I agree. Indoor impacts are different than large scale ecosystems where bacteria who's specific purpose is to covert what leftover nitrates they can into n2. We should stop tearing eachother down. It isn't helping the community and I will be the first to admit my comments can be polarizing.

I stocked up anway....

hahahaha tongue in your cheek i reckon

Stick with what you are learning, adapt how you discuss it, be like the BIMs and be Metagenomic and so ultimately flexible. Show dont say, do and know. keep up what you do buddy, dont give in, i know you wont. be gentle on yourself and be gentle with others man.
Understanding soil is the key to understanding the universe, no one is expecting you to have every answer. Admit the weakness of organics and try to find ways to counter it. We wont win the argument until we can shrink the 20% repeatedly and at lower cost.

Used car salesmen is another way to put it. I keep comparing it to religion. But same effect really.

And I moved away from Colorado when my illnesses got bad. It was great there. But it isnt the same around copper mountain and Frisco now. It’s a circus. And Leadville is next for condos and roller coasters.

I am all for no one getting arrested for a plant but seriously. Fuck legal weed. It ruins everything we used to get high to enjoy. Lol.

Ok I am exaggerating.

I live in the Manistee forest in West Michigan now. Little mellower lifestyle. I am not strong as I once was. We kayak on local rivers and mountain bike flowy singletrack here.:-)

I did miss the trees and green when I lived out west.

we all end up on the slow train man. i highly recommend Lions mane mushrooms for helping the old grey matter stay sharp, as for the rest of me...well i take comfort that my mind has finally left my body behind and i am still young enough to appreciate it :-)
no more showing my maleness to the local village girls by running headlong at a pack of charging bulls but i can still out think them :-)
i still dont know what legal weed is buddy, i am living the dream PMSL

PMSL. I had to look up the meaning of PMSL.

Yes @Ecompost knows the pieces are there and the connection does exist. I apologize that I have an abstract mind. Just trying to get some fresh organic information in the community. Point taken.

You also notice in always answering 5 loaded questions at any given time. Information can get a little bit twisted up

agreed, try not to respond in the moment, try to take time to consider, roll up the BS and answer the actual questions. Remember, not even Coots is an expert in all of this :-)

Me too. I'm old, so Thank God for the urban dictionary.
its a credit that it doesnt show until you expose it. The one thing we might agree on, we might not have to put lipstick on me before anyone listens on line, what is it they said, ah yes, a face for radio :-)

I wish there was an actual agree button like grasscity. I think i need to move to masanobus next epiphany. Show them first then the questions asked carry less cynicism.

what matters are the primers, and these are usually taken care of by the mother, as with most systems, its the mothers that matter

Imo you guys and gal are all great.;)

I agree! I was wrong when I said the thread was useless. It has become a very useful thread.

Because of all of us. :-)

Sorry I got twisted up and contributed to the negativity.

And a special thanks to @Ina for saying what we were all thinking. That “Targi” was cute!

;-)
