It’ll take off soon. Otherwise it’ll shrivel up and die. Either way problem solved. Some runts can turn into gems so I’d grow it out as far as it’ll take ya. You might be surprised at how resilient they can be. You never know. It could be going through hell right now fighting whatever it’s fighting. Once it takes off it could be the most robust plant in your garden.

Maybe a quick shot of some root stimulant and nitrogen will kick it into gear. My little onehad stalled until I gave it a low dose of nuted and its growth picked back up.

I reckon the tap root was pretty much broken,damaged at early age..i had one similar and tap root was barely 2cm long.

Yeah, it basically had no roots. I looked when I transplanted and they weren't even coming out of the peat pellet...

I have the rooting powder I use for clones. Would something like that help if I mix a little in next watering?

No, that is a hormone to promote plant cells to develop into root cells. I was thinking more along the lines of a root based nutrient, whatever that is in the NFTG line. Canna has Rhizotonic, BioBizz has Root Juice, GH has rapid start. Something like that.

Would a shot of aloe help maybe? I use it for seedlings and transplants for a little extra first aid root coating.

It would b worth trying..Was just looking on my aloe and kelp ferment bottle .is saying its good to use as a foilar when roots are stressed or nutrients unavailable..

Another natural root enhancer is willow water. A grower friend wanted branches off the swamp willows on my property. I have not tried but read it is an old respected input.
