Symptoms dont matter. If you fertilize and see leaf stress or yellow tips or burning in potting soil you simply leach the pots with fresh water until the runoff looks clearish and the ec is within reason for the age and size of the plant and re fertilize to runoff for even more root clearing with a complete balanced ratio nute at a lower strength. Or not if the soil has plenty of nutrients.

My mistake with those was i flushed (leached) but did not re feed. So they stalled for over a week and ate their own leaves after a few days.

With experience comes faster recovery.
I just did that same thing I thought I had to wait to dry then feed . My dumbass and yes she ate herself ! That’s why I stalk you guys! Thanks

OG Kush x Trainwreck (Basically Ghost Train Haze re-worked) right. Black Widow x Blue Lemon Thai left.

Also I went and ordered a couple bags of the Mothers Earth Groundswell. See if i get the great results as last time. The price is of course important. But its not enough to worry about in my size grow. Like the pure blend pro. Way overpriced for what it is. But the results and convenience and compatability with my well water is worth the few dollars a month I would actually save. I think i have enough ocean forest left in the bin for one more transplant. The woman that owns the grow shop i am using now ordered me fresh bags from the distributer. I have had trouble consistantly getting well stored fresh bags out here.

Might be a dumb question but how do you know the soil has been stored improperly?

Thats a great question. When they are heavy and dense they may have got wet or are just old. If lighter and fluffier more likely good.

Also organic style soil like ocean forest or roots organic have a 6 month from bagging optimim shelf life. Peat lite mixes like pro mix. A year.

I think it was a compliment. Preachers are supposed to speak the truth.
If only that were true... Sorry

Good to know 99% of my girls have been Outdoors so I really haven't had to worry about that. I have been in my house just a little over a year now so I think I'm probably going to start something up. Im thinking coco, im a little tired of amending my soil and i don't have my worm bin up and composting. Plus funds are very tight. I have three lawsuits im dealing with, gotta love family and hospitals.

Regarding fresh versus old soil I literally had the last soggy bag of ffof at my local hydro store before she went out of business, it's slurry reading was 1700 PPM (I forget the pH but it was out of whack too

I also tested a fresh bag of ffof delivered by Amazon, you could tell it was fresh & fluffy, the PPM was under 500 and the pH range was correct too

Well you can appreciate my need for a good source. The shop owner called today like promised. My bags are inside in the room next to the counter.

Pro mix bales are fully sealed in plastic. May be a better option and carried at farm n feed places.

The of and the like have perforated bags. Thats how the gnats get in when wet.
