These must be your coldest days of the year down in the low 30's. Still not bad though, how long will this cold snap last for you? I'm looking at those temps for another 3-4 months on warm days only. We're not bad here now at 32f mid day in the sun. I put a male in my little green house to see how he'd fair in the cold, not so well doesn't like the -8c nights.
It doesn't look like this male liked the cold nights

And I thought we were starting to get the veg garden started! 🤨
Getting close. I really want to get the large tomatoes going but too cold. I'll start them soon in the seed warmer but they can't stay in there for more than a few days after popping (too humid) and too cold for them in the greenhouses. Hopefully by the end of the month and I can bring the seedlings inside for a month. It's going to be another beautiful warm day after 30F again this morning.

I'm sure protecting those 1/2 pots has helped.

The next 10 day weather report is mostly sunny, upper 60's and lower 40's so hopefully they'll finish well. Can't wait to puff this pretty bud.

A friend of mine just moved to Montreal and she sent of a picture of a gas station she stopped at and it was packed full of snow mobiles, not cars. A little culture shock or climate shock, lol

A power failure now would be a disaster for a lot of folks and we get them a lot. I have a generator but its a bit of a struggle to get it up here and going. Its a project I haven't got around to yet. i need to build a small house for it up along side on our cat deck. right now its in my indoor garage warm and ready to fire up if I need it but too far from where I need it. If I leave it up here in our weather even covered, icy cold, damp it makes it tough to pull start. So I need a warm dry location. Even a 60 w bulb would keep it warm if insulated so I gotta get at it and build something to fit the bill.

We're along the coast and don't usually get enough snow that lasts, anywhere north of us does though, just 10 miles inland and they don't get the coasts warmer influence and get a lot more snow, -20 this weekend for us and we live in the banana belt of the Maritimes.😄

Just means it’s gonna be 105 and 75%rh in a couple months ! But I love to sweat
I love the heat and have spent a large portion of my life either living in the heat ( Hawaii & California ) or spending every dollar I could get my hands on for a 2 week south every year ( for over 25 years) 22 countries 30 states and all 10 Canadian provinces I've driven in through and around looking for that perfect place on the beach. I found it in Mahahual Mexico in a little cabana on the beach for about $100 US/ night breakfast included
