For survival you may have to go HPS ever so often!

I've grown under HPS and had good results. However, these plants under my quantum boards and some 4ft t-8's are growing very compact. Very stout stems. There's some real differences in how plants seem to grow under LEDs that I don't think are "ALL" genetically related. Stem growth is one thing that has jumped out at me.

I originally was going to buy 4 boards but talked myself back to 2 ....

I thought I would order 6 in the beginning and decided on 4, they are working very well.
This damn virus screwed up shipping temporarily.

Blue spectrum is responsible for compact leafy squat plants and red spectrum stem elongation and strength and flowering.

Leds are still just blue phospher like flourescents. So heavy in blue spectrum regardless of color temp. Thats why they are now adding red strips.

Nasa and the university of michigan have a ton if info on light spectrum and effects on plants.

Yes, I've read the very same thing. Actually it's been known for a long time before LEDs the affect certain wavelengths of light have on plants.

My personal results are HPS produce a more spindly stem ... more elongation .... a taller plant than the LEDs. My results so far are on target to what I've read to expect between the different lighting.

Spindly stem can be from hidden potasium deficiency also. Tallest plant too.

Do you know how they determine if you have the virus? Believe it is an anti body test. Meaning your body tests positive for the anti bodies. Residual anti bodies will also show positive. There is no real data showing you can over come the virus to only have it come back again. There have been cases with false positive tests, person is given treatment for corona virus, second test comes back negative and then they get the virus. What the medical industry does not know and that article is using to sell its content is how long the human body will have immunity after vaccination or acquiring the disease.

I've got both going on under these, the skunks are beefy and the BB is lanky!

There are other reasons as well. Back then, I ran 2 lamps in a 4 x 4 area. One was 150 w I believe and the other was 400 w. My lighting I have today is far superior. Lower light intensity will also cause a spindly stretch. I'm sure this was part of it.

If it was true, you would see massive numbers of deaths from people that have recovered and re acquire the virus. The body would be in a weakened state from the first go around. For this to happen the virus would have to mutate because if it was the same virus the body would just make more of the anti bodies it knows will kill the virus. This is the bases for a vaccine. Give the body a weakened or dead virus so it can make anti bodies to kill the virus. So when you are exposed to the virus your body already knows what to do.

Sure absolutely. I have also noticed when i compared 30 day veg to 12/12 from seed what you say. The 12/12 plants all needed support and the vegged ones held their own buds up.

Yield was pretty equal for sativa leaners in 12/12 but squat indica style did poorly.

It's also the basis of studies because without these studies, they won't know if it's 1 vaccination or a series of vaccinations over time due to mutations. Of course, first they have to come up with a working vaccination .... which I know is in the works, just no idea how far along it is.
