Baby buds! Woohoo! Lol strollin along @ 2 weeks after flipping to 12/12.
Just been watering as normal (with tap water i leave out 24hr, ph sits around 6.5 dont have ppms sorry)when dry, adding just a tsp of some bloom booster stuff i got at walmart in the water. 🤷 they seem happy enough so i haven't really made much more effort... If it ain't broke, don't fix it? Lol
I did a light defoliation earlier just before these pics, just cleaning up the underside a bit, then removed a few of the more obnoxious fans that were blocking and crowding too much, opened up the middle a bit to let the newer growth catch some light since we still have quite a while, more the merrier! Lol

One comment, I see some exposed wiring...please be careful you don’t burn your place down...That ballast for your fluorescent light gives off heat, hope it’s not mounted to something that will burn. Just sayin...

They haven't gotten very hot at all, able to hold hand on them fine only a little warm to touch. Its 3 of them, 80w each for 6 tubes.

You do realize your 6 florescent bulbs are pushing 240 watts and the light on order is only 150 watts?

They're also 4' long sticking out the side of a 3' box, with exposed hideous wiring, and a lot more heat, with tubes that throw crap spectrum light with crap penetration and intensity in 360degree direction so half of that wattage is bouncing off the top first, greatly reducing its ppfd ratings... Theyre just old kitchen fixture bulbs. 💁
Heres a couple checks i did with an online calculator...
Lux to PPFD calculator

Lol I love it. It looks both Amateur and advanced at the same time!

Well despite charging forth with a somewhat amateur looking setup, I must say your plants look pretty darn good, so hats off to you sir! You're doing something right.
Thanks! Yeah I just have things around the house to work with lol but i suspect the plants can sense my effort and love :) they've been so forgiving lol

Cant wait for the buds to start filling in more 😊😊😊 hopefully their new light helps make it happen!

So we are at day 19 since switch to 12/12 schedule. New light is up and plants seem to like it. Getting rid of all those fluorescents and being able to lower my plant's platform opened up a lot more space. Made giving them a light trim earlier much easier.
Just some close up pics when i was giving them some attention this morning. Startin to see some trichomes. Mmm frosty goodness. Yes grow for me so wonderfully!

Im glad they were so prompt about fixing the issue instead of giving me the run around! Great costumer service.

Welcome! Not a bad looking run. Please, though, do something about that cardboard. House fires are no fun, man. Not saying you'll have on, but better safe than not. You can go to any big box hardware store and pick up some insulating foam for like $13 for a 4ft x 8ft sheet.

Also, you can go to wal-hell and pick up an emergency blanket in the camping section for like $8. Not the thin mylar shit, but one that's like a rubberized material. It's heavy duty fabric (like grow tent material) and it's got a nice textured reflective material on one side. I think it'll be more effective for your purposes the next run.

I've even thought about building a budget tent with them; alas, I don't have a sewing machine, nor access to something industrial sized that could sew seams.

Just thought I'd share some ideas! Not a bad first run, by any means!

Yeah i think it is going well. It has been one hell of a learning experience, for sure.
Been considering getting a tent but with my ceilings being angled as they are, i would only have space for a 60-ish inch height and maybe 4x2 or possibly 3x3 at the most.. If i rearranged the place i could swing 4x4 maybe even lol but then i gotta convince my girl to let me take up 1/3 of the room instead of the back of the closet lol. Trickier. 🤣

I get it haha. On that note, take advantage of those emergency blankets. I do a lot of winter camping (well used to, my son is almost two now and that threw a wrench in my serious outdoorsing), so I had one laying around and it kinda clicked. I just have it thumbtacked around the closet I'm using right now, but you could definitely build a pretty decent space with those things.

On the positive, you'll save at least $50 on a tent, and tear down would be a hell of a lot easier, should you need to move for any reason.
