What is happening to them? Things are looking grim.

What's your humidity at? They have started transpiring more which is good but may being other challenges forward.

Temps day night now?
Humidity day and night?
Airflow and exchange (running circulation and exchange fans?

yesterday the dehumidifier got unplugged, This morning it was 67%. Usually at 50-55%. The temps are now solid at 72-73, and they have two inches of insulated foam with hardboardon top so they are insulated well now. The basement temp is up to 65 about so they won’t go below that. I have two fans running pushing air around, I could open the flaps on the bottom to get some higher CO2 content in there, but I would think it’s much of a problem since the tent was wide open yesterday to put the hardboard in. I think the humidity got a bit high last night.

Would the soap you use to wash vegetables also work? I don't think we have the sunlight dish soap here in Thailand. The most recent dish soap I bought said that it will kill germs (me thinks this is bad). I have 60 mm of Organic Neem Oil and will be using same. Thanks and a tip of the hat to you both. I saw a pretty big centipede in the backyard and he wasn't wearning a mask or practicing social distancing
the centipede comment! lol. Yeah, any dish soap should be okay I am just familiar with sunlight. I would go for one that has the least amount of added things like germ killing stuff or scented. As natural as possible.

The germ killing stuff isn't so good for the plants, but in the future it is a likely additive for many of them due to the You Know What...

Yep slight lower temperature and higher humidity at night. Now that they are transpiring you going to need to watch the humidity. Those puffy swollen leaves are a good indication that humidity is getting to high.

I should add it's not always a humidity bit it's a transpiration issue. With temps of 72 I going to say humidity of 50-55% is where is needs to be.

I have to apologize. I'm in a few threads and don't wanna mix em up. Is this a prefertilized soil?

thanks, I did not really premoisten the soil besides giving it some spraying with my spray bottle. The soil has likely been too dry. Sometimes when I’ve been watering I scrape off the top wet soil and it’s completely dry beneath. Is this the soil absorbing the water and preventing much from getting down to the middle of the pot?
I bought a digital moisture meter that has a long probe on it . It takes a bit of trial and error to get used to it but they work well in larger pots sorry for not getting back to you sooner

How much volume do those pots hold?

The little pots with the small plants are 7 gallon. I couldn’t find 5 anywhere. The big plant is the one with the discoloration I talked about earlier today. It’s in a 15 gallon and otherwise doing healthy.

this is the whole grow. The grey are the ones this thread was started about, the big black one is the one with the nitrogen clawing and new leaf discoloration.

He watered 2 days ago for the first real time. Absolutely the wet dry cycle will be a challenge in these pots at that size
Yeah I’ll try. The plants are very stunted from my improper watering but I think they can make a recovery. Now that I know what to do it should help. There’s a lot of perlite in the mix so it will help a bit. I’m stumped as to why I have clawing if I haven’t fed any nutrients for a month. Probably the compost. But what is causing the lighter coloration that’s seemingly damaging the leaves? Delayed pest damage? Humidity spike?

What soil again?

It's to do with the plant being able to uptake now. The clawing on older leaves is from before and it won't get better. It will stay like that. New growth is light could be a couple reasons. If it's preferred it will take little bit to release ferts now that it's wet. If it's not we may have to look at feeding next time.

Also new growth can take a bit to green up and new younger growth hasn't had time to fully photosynthesize and green up. Just need to give her a few days to sort out and see what adjustment need made now that she is drinking. Humidity will definitely start going up and close to 95% of the water we feed them gets released as humidity from transpiration

It’s rain water
If left stagnant it can breed microbes not so favorable to our grows. Have you looked at the soil for bugs? Just something to consider when using rain water.
havent seen any bugs at all. I usually take the water when it’s fresh. Also the temps up here haven’t gotten much above 50 the last month and many times around freezing at night. Microbes aren’t having a good time at the moment. Ones it gets warmer though I will definitely keep that in mind

Yup just food for thought bro. Also funny in some states it's illegal to collect rain water... Fucked up
