Recently the prices for MMJ have been reaching crazy levels in Pennsylvania, with 1/8 Oz going for $80 or more for some brands, concentrates are going up to $85 or more per half gram. What bugs me is that the state makes very little from the sales, the growers are complaining they aren't making money from it, but they are selling their wares for the equivalent of $640/Oz.
Is this insanity everywhere?

My God! That's expensive!!! Hopefully theres some level of quality for that price. Its half as expensive where I live and that's too expensive!! It doesn't help that the commercial producers here grow shitty weed...

Its why I grow.

As of May 2020 Oklahoma has 300k patients and 10k licensed commercial growers. Medical users can grow 6 mature plants and 6 seedlings. But the legal sales for the month was $73M. The state pocketed 11M. Why anyone would pay $45 an eighth is beyond me- but they do.

I have a fear that when Australia finally lets all 7 states have the green light to grow 4 plants 2 per person and they set up similar to the US that there will be tones of shitty weed grown in the name of the all mite buck 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑💩💩💩💩💩💩🤬🤬🤬🤬, I’d like it to de criminalised the stigma surrounding weed has been going on far to long and in this volatile political forum I’m hearing more and more politicians saying we need to change , I can see in this economic turn down could be a way for the economy to be rebuilt an propped up with the cannabis industry at the forefront. So we can’t buy MMJ but I know OZ of bush weed is $150 , top shelf hydro $ 250 to $350 depending on who you know , I’m shocked at some of the prices I see you guys have but up hi way robbery , do all the dispensaries grow there own or do they buy from anyone that grows ? Od .

640 an ounce, fucking wow. I live in Kelowna Bc. Ounces going for 100 -150. CAN get pounds for 1200-1400. I can get ounces of shatter for 550-600. Lol wow

640 a zip be real easy for me to just quit smoking all together if i could no longer grow myself

I was in Vegas for work last April and purchased 1.5 grams for $23.00. Money well spent, worth every penny. I believe in NH your looking at $375 an oz from the RX. MA abit more.

if your in a shop in sol ca/sb/riverside your look at 15-20 a gr...................... form a shop you can go to the swap meets on weds and fri and get ozs for 100.00 lb 800-1500 all day long .....................................

But in a shop get the valsine out unless your hooked up..................................

I was hoping to get some accurate ideas of what others that buy from dispensaries are paying for their buds. Black Market is always cheaper but I'm trying to get a general idea of what folks are paying for, say a 1/8 Oz of flower from a medical or retail dispensary. In Pa, it almost seems like price rigging as all the prices recently went up, but the state doesn't set any pricing guidelines so it's super easy to fleece customers when you are the only game in town. You also don't get to pick your buds, you get them in a sealed container, often full of wood and the occasional seed. If prices in other areas are half of the ones around here, where is all of the extra cash going, since it isn't taxed in Pa except for sales tax.
Of course, the first ones to get their hands dirty with the cash are the ones that are elected.

Lol go on weedmaps and look at dispensaries in Colorado and prepare to be mad at the prices and quantity of selection. There is definitely some shitty stuff here, don't get me wrong. But the prices here are pretty great, especially considering there are so many options for quality. I could go to a different rec dispensary every day for a year and probably not go to them all. Sure, the taxes for recreational are close to 30%, but fuck it, I'll pay 30% taxes to my state to make the roads, parks, and infrastructure better.

It all works if it is adult use, and the adult's choice. the medical route is the scam. I'm not saying cannabis doesn't have medicinal benefits, obviously it does. But the state govt making your only legal access medicinal, and so expensive that it's insane, it's wrong. I'm from Florida. Medical there, you're paying $90 for a gram of live rosin. That is robbery.

In CO it ranges, but on average I'm not paying more than $40 for a TOP shelf 1/8 of flower, and that's top brand name. A lot of places have deals you can walk out the door with an ounce of flower for less than $120. Some of it isn't top shelf, but it is better than ANY medical flower I ever got in Florida. Medical in FL is a fucking joke.
