Uno the funny thing is usually plants will compete against ea other for the light when they are close.i know bugger all on indoors but my guess would b its the light?do these leds pull out similar spectrum like cmh.reading on cmh they say they tend to keep em shorter + your enviroment must b near perfect...growing leaves instead of stem is a perfect scenario..i remember one year here temps were soaring with very low humidity and the plants stretched to buggery.never happened again since..so maybe with reasonably high humidity and temps it does the opposite.loving your gals mate 🔥🌲🌲🌲

I remember the spectrum for that light is very sunlike.

A lot more green than hps I believe and a ton more blue. According to the black dog paper anthem posted early in the thread, this part of the spectrum influences the amount of leaf temp rising. That and the blue is my guess for shorter plants. Blue for veg here: https://www.royalqueenseeds.com/blo...ht-spectrum-and-ways-to-raise-thc-levels-n269

Here is an example hps spectrum from eye hortilux: https://images.app.goo.gl/JXXMxs9BCsvTQHrHA

Is the nodal spacing tighter?

The nodal spacing is definitely very tight, I'll take a pic later on when the lights come on. The main stem is also quite thick, and the branches are pretty hardy too. I also have the lights closer than Gavita is recommended, but the plants seem to love it. Gavita's broad light sprectrum is below...........

And your leaf temps are good? Man those look like nice lights. I mean for the price they ought to be lol but still.

I can vary the temps by opening the door and/or running the exhaust........I'm more concerned about the humidity, but I ordered a new device today and that should definitely take care of any humidity issues. I also have a very powerful floor fan blowing the room to shit, on 24/7.

I'll measure leaf temps and report back shortly........

yeah my understanding is blue photons will produce a more compact stocky plant, kinda like metal halide has way more blue then HPS. LED's are reaching out even further then what we generally view as standard PAR 400-700, LED's are offering more in the 300-400nm UV blue and even 700-750 far red .

The gavita's are nice lights, but from what I can tell the Fluence Spiders 2I's are even more powerful.

Best info on spectral effects I have found in one place to date.

yup nice light for sure , I see on an add that said, not intended for beginners or growers not supplementing with CO2. So there putting out some power
There is a learning curve to both of these lights. But the Fluence requirements are greater. Remember light drives the plants nutritional needs.

The temps at the leaf level is 74.4 degrees.......but the door is open. I'm going to close it and see how much it rises and I'll report back shortly.
With 1200ppm I have no issues running leaf temps 80-82f some run higher but I find that to be about the sweet spot for my CO2 and light intensity

With the door closed, at this point, the temps have risen to 78.5 degrees and very slowing moving up......... I still have some decisions to make about the co2, but not with this crop. I want to see if i can hit the 2 lbs. per light with just the Exhale bags. With that, I'd be happy. If not, further supplementation will probably be necessary. I also have a propane based hot water heater and I could exhaust that straight into the room too. I have options, just want to move slow cause I'm tired of sending shit back. LOL

I'm sure you will come extremely close and likely pass that.

I mean plants look very healthy and you got a good amount of light. I would be very surprised if you don't as long as the genetics allow.

Bottled gas is super cheap to run in a small room. Just the initial setup. I have a 10x7 room and started with half a 20lb tank. Room is sealed super well. I hardly put a dent in it in almost 8 weeks. But the CO2 I. My basement sits at 1200-1300ish ppm so even going in and out is not an issue. Basements usually around that so good place to have your grow.

This strain is supposedly a VERY heavy yielder, the Golden Goat parent is a monster yielder, the the Platinum Cookie is quite good too. It's one of the reasons I chose this strain, to give the room a fair chance at producing well for the 1st grow in it. I'll probably order a co2 test kit, just to see my levels. But I am in the basement of a large house, and the HVAC and hot water heater are less than 6 yds. away from the room. I won't be surprised if it's around the 800+ level as is. I think you can safely figure the Exhale bags adding another 400-500 to the room too.

Yeah im gonna guess even higher like 1000+
