First Time Grow. SOG-style Sampler using Pot for Pot

So my plants are doing stuff. First day after twelve hours of dark was July 1. I think I flipped too soon for purple haze and NYC diesel, but hopefully they will do their thing with time.

I have had some nute and light probs, but things are getting there I think. The little one is an auto (critical cbd). She will be joining in.

Update: I have finally gotten two of @One drop 's biggest tips checked off.

1. Passive air intake (plus adequate fans to pull air up)
2. Pots over saucers (using grates from my travel cages for my birds).

I am also experimenting with these little co2 bags. Ordered Exhaust bag due in a week or so.

Everybody is in various stages of getting their shoes on for flowering! Early days yet, but we shall see. I am pushing Buddha bloom atm and backing off nitrogen for my LAC, who is drinking like a camel and just generally the biggest.

Another day of photos of my plants being plants! Hoping purple haze has some stretch in her!

Included are shots of the under foliage... I think I am going to mostly leave it alone except for yellowing leaves and useless buds (with a generous interpretation of the latter) since this is my first grow and I'd like to see it up close. Wish I hadn't let the primary stem on lac up! Would have had a good canopy on her then. Bit less even now and when I tried to bend her I actually snapped her stem so that only a bit of skin was hanging on. Used cling wrap and plant wrapping tape and she has just kept right on trucking!

Smelled the top bud for Maui this morning...omg. deep skunk. I'm excited. Like two months or so from smoking my own home grown!

I am sad about how puny Purple Haze in but she seems dense at least. She may have an inch or two of stretch left in her?

Not pictured: my critical auto baby, who is doing great. I am increasing her light intensity and introducing nutes now. She is on her fifth node and looks happy. Not touching her at all except maybe to lst; I am curious to see how she yields given the current, less fucked up regimen than these babies got as I have been figuring stuff out.

Feel like I have a mag deficiency. Added some today after checking pH, which is still hovering at 6.3. Other than that, I'm....not sure but I think I may have Maui and lac mixed up. Just given smell of the bud, flowering time, and how tall the one plant stretched. Hm. "Milson, you imbecile, didn't you label them?"

Listen I did but I was stoned and it got fucked up. It is what it is lol.

Into week 5 of flower! The more I read (I have been going through Marijuana Botany lately and it's absolutely AWESOME), the more I am interested in UV and far red light as important for terpene development and cannabinoid development, so I will continue experimenting with the lizard light and I am also looking at how hard it would be to do a little DIY booster of far red. Probably not for this grow but in the future.

Im going to add some supplemantal lighting soon i think, just some cheap chinese jobs to add a bit extra . I was going to point out that leaves were a bit yellow on yours but looks like uve got the idea now with @Aqua Man Man s reply, keep it up , learning is the key. knowledge is power

Blargh, my uv light was not working for a few days bc timer was messed up. Thankfully, it was messed up by staying off, not on.

Nevertheless, week six! Working toward fixing nute issues, had a bit of a pH issue I needed to resolve bc of a mixup w phosphorus. Boring story. Things are perking up nicely though.
