Any one else wash their plants at harvest? I wonder if that would help or if the ash should be taken off sooner than harvest?
Those of you that are in fire affected areas like myself. Are you going to spray your plants to clean off any potential ashes? I am trying to avoid spraying much in flower, but I do think I will need to clean her off after the smoke settles.

Yes. We let them go for as long as possible. Halloween was the longest we were able to wait. Anytime in October our trichomes are looking fairly amber.
Sweet. Kinda give me hope to try it next year. I know the sativa I got now only just started flowering when the others started 3 weeks prior. Worried about them not finishing. Sour is my favorite next to jet fuel!

I wash mine in peroxide water. 1 cup to a 5 gallon bucket. Gets off all the pollen and dirt and bug shit ...man it's amazing what comes off of those things. Plus the peroxide helps kill any fungus and it makes such a smooth better tasting smoke

I dont want anything that could possibly leave a residue...lemon juice ...baking soda ...etc
And hydrogen peroxide is just hydrogen and oxygen.

And I'm talking about swishing thr buds in a bucket after I chop them down and before the hang fyi ;)
Doing your peroxide wash do you think that it affects the terpenes or resin? I would like to try this if it makes for a cleaner and smoother smoke.

It doesn't affect anything .... that is the best part. You would almost puke if you seen what the water looks like after.
I agree.. peroxide is a good preventative against some larva in the soil as well. At a ratio of 1:4 peroxide/water. Some strains may develop root zone issues From to much h2o2, Or so I’ve read. I personally did it once last grow and after I flushed my medium I didn’t see a single fungus gnat through flowering. Just my experience.

I won't add that to my soil because it would kill all my beneficial bacteria and fungus that I work so hard to get. I use beneficial nematodes to handle any assholr bugs like thrips or gnats. They are brilliant ;)

Yes sir, I understand your hard work. Grandpa tilled is garden and had a pretty large composter in the back. Use to have to turn that heavy thing when I was very small. Haha. It was an experiment I did mid grow last grow when I was experiencing aphids. I hit them with great white a week later. Had great results.

Thank you for your feedback I've watched a video and seen what can come off when you get powdery mildew. Haha gross

It's really helped this year that I started the Sour Diesel seeds mid-April indoor/outdoor and they shot up ready to be outside in June when the photo period and warmer weather allows. Used smart pots for first time @ 15 gallons. Could have gone bigger on the pots but Happy Frog, Buddha Bloom, and an active mix from the nursery are still supporting big plants. I like the smart pots getting the trees off the ground, and being able to know accurately how much water/nutrients I'm giving each plant. It may be psychological with me, but Sour Diesel has an aphrodisiac effect, more so than any strain I've tried or grown. Long story short, I hope to have jars and jars of boner weed in a month and a half (TMI?). And also some Gorilla Glue for sleepy time.

I get some stuff they perk at the nursery in my progressive town they say is alive and best to use it immediately. They also say I can use it in any dilution. How would this be different than Budda Bloom or Big Bud? Sounds interesting but I'm not quite understanding.
