I grow in only manure....manure is my soil. 100 gallons of it. I dont add "dirt". The pots do sit on top of clay so I'm sure the roots are well into that as well but ....that can't be what she means...can it?

P.s. even my indoor (tho I hate growing indoors) but its mostly for breeding purposes and I only use t5s but I use the same manure and amendments and still do okay.My apologies ma'am, thank you for letting us soak up your exp and knowledge.
Edit, outside of sourcing your own manure from your own farm, how would you recomend someone go about purchasing so much volume of aged chopped manure at that price?

Long story short I struggled for yrs trying to grow big plants. I tried synthetics I tried super soils ...they were all okay but I knew I could do better. Then one day I had this memory of when I was on the farm where I was raised. My mom had me climb to the top of this giant pile of composted manure we had and plant a single pumpkin seed. Never seen anything like it. Was able to can 40 quarts off each pumkin...the leaves and vines were just in freaking sane!
I did some research and found that many many massive growers use only manure as well. So I said fuck it why not. That is the first yr I went fully organic and I have never looked back.
P.s. I dont add any perlite or anything of the sort either. Nor do I add extra worm casting because there is more worms in that soil then one could even hope for. It's truly alive... also due to all the compost I dont ever have to ph anything

A quick glance at google and prices seem high there so I'm guessing it's about calling some sort of local supplier

When I saw the size plants @1diesel1 and @Average are getting out of small containers

Horse is great too but I don't use it because it's more seedy then steer Is.that makes alot of sense--i really appreciate you explaining this to me.
@Greatlakes would know best, but i do know farmers love HORSE BARNS. many have well-maintained manure piles. nothing but horse poop, some urine which degrades into simpler nitrates when the pile is composted and turned for a period of time, hay and wood shavings for a little woody biomass. the mennenites buy--pay money for--the whole compost pile at the stables where i keep my horse every year for their gardens.
It's jelly pie from greenpointi'd actually nominate that pic for potm. what is it?
Yeah they are beauties! He puts a lot of work into that soil and definitely reaps the benefitsIf I remember correct 1diesel1 said they were 100 gals. Not to shabby of a container size IMO.

It's jelly pie from greenpoint
absolutely gorgeously monstrous frosts of snow. jelly pie you say. may i impose on you further and ask how long does it takes to finish? how good do you feel the yields inside are? look pretty good to me.
i feel like i always hear good things about greenpoint.
Jelly pie is about a 10 week finisher. I'm looking at a mid oct harvest for that one. Its sometimes hard to get your hands on the seeds tho because they sell out fast from it. Here is another pheno of it that my friend grew out after I made seeds from it.i can look it up finishing times. but i would be grateful for your opinion on yield...
It's a above average yielded. Tho I won't know for sure til it finishes outdoors. I just know indoor under shitty lights it did amazing.i can look it up finishing times. but i would be grateful for your opinion on yield...
lol--i guess i mean small compared to the ground
