Hi guys, you may have seen my first grow that started off tits and took a couple turns then ended up better than expected. It's over here:

I just decided tonight is the night I'm popping new seeds so I figured why not start a new thread already. Maybe you guys can help me figure something out. I'm going to be running two EarthBoxes with organic living soil in a 4' x 4' cheapo Amazon tent. Last time I ran too many strains from clones, this time I'm only going to run two or three plants max in each box. And I can't decide whether to keep it to a single strain, or one strain in each box.

These are the options.

Option 1 - straight Bombolone. Pop all 6 of these seeds and take the best 4 seedlings to flower:

Option 2: Pop 3 of the above Bombolone, plus these (CSI Humboldt) - grow the best two or three seedlings from each:

Baphomets danky dungeon grow take 2 bacio gelato x gushers 2

Option 3 some combination of the above plus work in these freebies somehow:

Baphomets danky dungeon grow take 2 bacio gelato x gushers 3

Including this gratuitous shot of me making edibles from trim and larf nugs from my first grow. My wife took it and you get to see it cause I think I look thick AF and that makes me happy:

@Aqua Man I remember you being pretty on-point with light intensity etc. Right now I have my seed pots in their dome under my LED's and they're making just under 5k lux on top of the seedling dome. I assume some intensity is lost to the plastic etc - but I wanted to check with you that:

A) ~5k lux is appropriate for starting seeds
B) Does it matter what height the lights are at as long as they're making the intensity you want at the level of the plants?

I would ignore the dome as a factor here.

You got it. Light intensity is all that matters. I usually lower my light and dim it all the way down to save on power and reach 5k clones 5-10k seedling

Haha thanks guys, I'm a competitive powerlifter (with all my free time) and training recovery/pain mgmt is a big part of why I've gone so far down the rabbit hole cultivating my own cannabis and making extracts.

I get better quality sleep on an edible than any sleeping med with zero hangover. Recovery = gains

I've noticed the more I can exercise, the less pain relief is needed. The problem is when the pain reaches certain threshold, I can't exercise, hardly walk for that matter.

If you haven't tried combining multiple strain types in your edibles, give it a go. Was the only way I could find balance between being able to function, and sleep at night without a hangover the next day.

I've been looking at the Cannarado Genetics to add to the mix.

There's probably something to that man! My last batch had a few strains and it did the job for sure.

I'm excited about these Cannarado beans too. I know I bought into the name hype a little with the bacio cut but I've just seen those phenos looking dumb nasty and I want a piece.

There's definitely a tradeoff with training and pain for me. Generally I agree with your statement but when I'm prepping for a meet and constantly squatting/deadlifting at over 95% of my one rep max (well over 600 in both lifts) there's no getting away from the training pain. You make peace with it or you find another sport 🤷‍♂️ I'm kind of a sicko so that's one of my favorite parts tbh. Powerlifting (competitively) def ain't for everyone

You could wait or transplant really.....I'd prolly wait a couple days, but not long.

Definitely remove dome to harden them up. Prolly could increase light as well to thicken those stalks and avoid them from stretching.

Looking good!!

Savage beast mode. Imma get those Hawaiian beans out to you tomorrow brotha. I know you got beans already but stash these away in the vault for a time when you’re ready to hunt for a nice pheno. 👍🏻 Babies are looking and healthy thus far. I’ve seen some mouth watering genetics from canna. Happy grows.

Thanks dude that's what I did - took off the dome and bumped the Lux from ~6200 to ~7500. They're responding so fast (this is just a couple hours after upping the light):

Are these guys getting too stretched?

View attachment 1042837
What spectrum is your light? I wouldn't say they are not bad at all.

Generics and spectrum play the biggest role.

Intensity wise 10-12k is should be plenty. The initial stretch is pretty normal under anything lower than 4k or a more blue spectrum. Its the length of the internodes once they developed you want to pay attention to most.

When you transplant just bury them up to about an inch below the first leaves.

Awesome, thanks brother. They're getting just about 10k at this point and it's 3500k spectrum. I have some 4k pendants but was planning to throw those in also during flower.

I'm transplanting them probably today or tomorrow so I'll take your advice and bury them for support.
