I’ve never seen thrips in the roots but possible I guess. I noticed them on my basement door window, it had clear goo and fliers stuck to it. I had them bad obviously. That was with little control, no root drenches, just captain jacks spray.
Do the crime, do the time, I had a good run! I would still have them I assume if it wasn’t for the year breake.
Me either, but apparently the lava can live in the roots? I've been treating for thrips so I'm hoping this was a rare survivor looking for a drink of water!?

Anyway I'm over it for now, I'm watching them closely and I'll get a peek at a couple more sets of roots later today, hoping to see nothing but healthy white!?

So all the black dogs rooted but about half got a bit singed when I let the water run down a bit, one of them is fine ish, so I'm going to dirt pot it today, if that's a thing, dirt potting? Lol

I had a bad fall Monday and I wasn't able to tend garden for a couple days, but my friend Bobbie baseball helped out, told her to pour water on what ever felt light lol, idk figured I'd deal with it when I was up and about again but everything's fine except for those few clones, should have told her to pour some water in the tray, my bad!

They'll be fine I'm sure, I took a few back-up cuts from the blooming BD mother just in case but I'm probably just going to go with this decent-looking one I have she has a ton of healthy roots

and if she's fine tomorrow the rest of the dogs will come out of the cloning tray, I'll probably never run the black dog again anyway because of her long blooming time, also I need the room to get some gorilla glue cuts ready for a run ✌😎

Hey @Beachwalker can you take a look at this for me, I fear drastic action maybe required but I wanted to be sure I have this right and get your opinion before I go mixing up any poison. I can't get in there until 7pm anyway so there's no real urgency.
I posted a photo in the "not so Magnificent Seven", its a single photo post and I was actually looking for any fine hairs I might not see with my naked eye but somehow always show up in photos, after I post them. Anyway, I spotted this in the photo and my heart sank. I've never had so much trouble, with one thing and now another! There is always something I guess, and it sure could be a whole lot worse. Can you let me know if I am on the right track.

Don't have my glasses so I couldn't read and I'm not positive by the picture but it could be a thrip

I'll be around later this morning and will check it out and get back to you then my friend

in the meantime are you seeing little irregular white dots pop up here and there?

Not that I've noticed but I only noticed that little bug in the photo, I had seen what I thought were mites of some sort over an month ago and I drown them with that insecticide I bought, Pyrethrum. I don't go in there while the lights are off but I will be able to get in there and get a good look as soon as the lights come on at 7 tonight.
I need glasses! That might fix a whole lot of problems LOL!
Thanks for the quick response, was at the vets, just back, never ends!
I will go check all my Bubble Gum Clones and Sundae Driver seedlings that are in Veg. I shall look for those little bugs and white dots on there, they are most likely everywhere.

Good morning I just post in Magnificent Seven thread but I'll answer you here going forward so there's less chance of a mix-up;

Hope everything was all right at the Vets! I have a cat, she's sometimes annoying ..because she's a cat! Lol

This is most likely thrip damage
Screenshot 20201026 101537 Photo Editor

this is what I posted in your other thread, if you could answer it here it would consolidate things

"I do believe these white marks are thrip damage but I don't believe that's what's killing it, have you sprayed anything on it / what's the medium, nutrients, pH , & PPM you're using, frequency of watering and what was your latest runoff numbers"

Hey, sorry @Beachwalker there's a mix up lol.
I haven't sprayed the cuttings/clones with anything yet but thats the wrong photo. My fault, I wasn't very clear and I give you a bum steer! Although you did spot something I had missed.
No matter, we can straighten this out here.
I shall post the correct photo below, with the other other photo and text I created. I believe this and my pointing you to the wrong photo is what caused the confusion.
I will post a photo of the Biker Kush Clone, tidied up, in another post.
Sorry for the delay in responding, I had missed this post and Ive been busy hunting thrips!

Good morning mr. Shocked, I'm here most mornings and I'm glad I could catch what you missed!

I've dealt with thrips twice, about 10 months apart, ironically I think it's been a continuation from the first infestation that I never fully got rid of and it took 10 months to show itself again

I suggest asking me questions here because I don't follow threads and unless I'm directly tagged in I will most likely not see a question posted to me

Enjoying a delicious early morning cup of java right now but I'll be around later today, I'll check what you've posted above and in your thread later and help if I can, have a great day!

How's this for a healthy-looking rooted cutting!!! LOL I'm loving my seed-starting mix for cloning

I'm having near hundred percent results even the ones I scorched last week when I was off my feet for a couple days (in tray on right) all rooted which I find kind of surprising! 😯🌱🌱🌱

@Beachwalker This is the only cutting from my Magnificent Seven, now Fantastic Five with Thrips. It took an extremely long time to root, even longer than the majority of my Bubble Gum Cuttings. I believe there are a couple of factors. The first being the temperature drop, it has been pretty dramatic and then there is the location on the plant that the cuttings came from. Now, having just said that I shall contradict myself and say this. This clone in the photo is from the top of a Biker Kush plant and took around 21 days or so to show roots through the rockwool cube but other cuttings taken from lower down the plant, the very bottom branches, have still not rooted and they never will as I dumped them today. I have rooted cuttings taken from the tops of plants, I did it at this time, or around, last year with the 5 Bubble Gum that I've been growing now for just over a year so I know even though only one of these Biker Kush has rooted that the tops of plants can be rooted successfully, takes a little longer than cuttings from elsewhere, I have found but it can be done. And here it is, along with some Bubble Gum Clones taken and re-potted into 1/4 litre pots in a soil mix ( light mix) with additional couple of hand fulls of worm castings. The Biker Kush Clone is first.

They look really healthy, do you just dip them in a rooting gel and pop them straight into that soil mix?
The tricky part is keeping them moist. There's no forgiveness with that rockwool, the cuttings dry out and die if that cube isn't kept wet. I guess the soil mix will hold moisture better.
Very nice 👍.

For the most part all my cuttings come from the tops of plants; I use a domed tray and a heating mat with a controller set to 78°f

They get the Serafina double-dip, which means first dipped in clonex gel then in a rooting powder and then they currently go into two parts perlite to one part vermiculite

They sit in about a half an inch of 350 PPM of 20-20-20 plant food, the medium is self-watering

I've use Root Riots in the past and also a bubble cloner, but for some reason I ran into issues with both of the above methods which is why I tried my seed starting mix to root clones and it's working great right now 🤞

Regarding thrips I had great results with this product, hope this helps
