Sorry a phillips cmh 315 3100k bulb puts out enough for the thc bump shown in many tests and the 4000k has even more.

Dont listen to the uv bulb sellers. 15% is much higher then needed. 2-3% uvb will do it.
Depending in exposure time.... sure they will do if you wanna run them for the entire light cycle.

I should clarify that CMH does put out a small amount of UVA but no UVB and should not affect thc but correction @MIMedGrower may slightly increase resin production but not compared to the addition of UVB. So I'm saying comparatively speaking it does not mean you would not benefit from the addition of UVB

Of course they are run the whole cycle. They are primary lights with the proper sunlight like spectrum. And they fall in between hps and led for efficiency.

Cheapest single 4 ft. fixture I found was on Amazon for $32.......... I believe 1 bulb should cover a 4 x 4 ft. area.

I purchased 3 of these units sshz, and all 3 were defective actually. (from amazon) I don't know if it's a technical issue, or if I simply got bad units, anyhow, thought I would throw that out there. I've done lots of testing and took one of the units apart (I've since got 2 units working) but replaced the ballast with American made 54 watt units, which are much bulkier and robust.

Anyhow, there's not much out there in this config, only allowing one light bulb, light and mobile units. (that's why I like them).

These are the ballast I purchased for replacement units.

I also got 2 jesco units that were almost identical to the above units, and they work fine. (I had to hack the power switches from the other units to get them to work) That said, I'm very happy once I got these things running, I can see a big difference in resin production, no question about it. I started with a few 15 min intervals/day then worked my way up to 30 min, then 1 hour. Right now I'm running them about an hour during the start of light, and a hour before lights out, so around 2 hours/day right now.

I'm using (1) 4 foot unit for approx 6x6 area, and there hanging about 3 foot above the canopy.
Oh, and I got a 4 pack of the T5 bulbs for $99 on amazon. Opened the box, and the package fell on the floor "boom" but the lights survived, thankfully. (they were wrapped very well).

sorry i cant find the old chart. All the new led info has taken up the front pages of google.

But i swear both phillips 315 cmh bulbs contain 3-4% total UVA and UVB.

My old phone had all these links from researching this a few years ago.

Keep in mind these things are very strange units, there not standard 4 foot fluorescent bulbs, there a "special" configuration. I tried to put them in my fluorescent sockets in my kitchen, and they DO NOT fit, it's a different socket, and there like an inch shorter than a standard (4 foot) fluorescent lighting unit, also the pins are a bit different, I think closer together.

They have 0 UVB. Maybe I misunderstood? You implied they had 2-3% UVB?

even old metal halide had some uvb. Usually blocked by an outer glass jacket or fixture glass. But cmh has more and phillips uses special glass to let more through.

i am really sorry i cant find the university spectrum report. It had all hid and older led too. Cycloptocs green beams lighting had the info on their web site but they are gone now i just searched.

Nope they have no measurable amount of UVB.. definitely not any significant amount to affect the grow.
