Yea , for sure my skunk # 1 were mostly sativa , I didn't really see indica / afghan
Also I really can't stand " the cheese " which is now considered a skunk offshoot ....
So if you get chees phenos , I might be dissapointed

the skunk im talking about is pre skunk 1. Skunk one is an afgan hybrid. You got lucky phenos?

useful seeds are the only “chucker” seeds i have now and as i expected each plant has been quite different. But all have been acceptable. Obviously made from elite cuts but not bred further.

one chocolate diesel (gone from root aphids) was just like the original. But i cant rely on the seeds for production at all. I expect HSC seeds to be much more reliable that way.

Heh you'll REALLY like HSC seeds for exactly that reason. Doesn't matter whether you put a seed down, take a clone, they all come up identically. If you bonsai 1 you can do 100 with no variance, same for stunting LST, HST, and mainline. Very freaking stable genetics. I'm really hoping to find the same in BOG stock.

I liked the variance in Hazeman's Astro Kush but only because I got a really pretty plant where the sugar leaves come out purple. But other people's stuff has been disappointing when it came up with a lot of variances because the variances have been extreme and in most cases negative af.

And believe it or not, what I have NOT had a problem with in Mark from Strainly seeds is variance. Man every single plant comes up and looks like a clone of the one before it. You can bank on them being identical. Just happened again with GSC. Have no idea what cut it is, but the plant is the same as the one before it. What I don't care for too much is the hermies in the autos and the overwhelming number of male/fem ratio of plants, and the lack of consistent viability with the seeds themselves. But when they pop a fem? It's pretty much guaranteed to be what he represents it to be and frosty.

All my skunks were heavily sativa , I ran em for one year .....maybe it was a sat leaning pheno , I only worked one from about 2 dozen seeds back then , super skunk was a bit shorter and earlier but I found her to be even more desirable

How much for the Funky Hindu?

How s/he (they? schlee? schler?) doing by the way?

Haha... I just smoked the last bud, of the seed plant, this morning... Have maybe twenty seeds.
Sounds like a couple of you guys want seeds?
The clones in flower look and smell phenomenal... But I did not take clones from them... And at this point, would rather not.

It was quite a lovely plant, herm or not.
I don't know the logistics of growing/breeding hermaphroditism out of a plant... I assume it's a PITA. Unfortunately at this point I don't really have the luxury of finding out.

The rks I grew was Afghani dom... Mid nineties in the PNW... We called it Punk.
Any s1's I've grown from it, though, come out Nag Champa.
Hopefully, get something at least sorta rks from these Chems... Or the hash plants that are sprouting.

What I'm going for in sk 1 is/was 60sat/40indy... Huge lime green colas... In fact, that's what we called it, "The Lime Green"... It was piney and hashy.
Was lost in a raid... Good cuts didn't travel far back then.

But DW, if you're saying there's a chance of rks in the skunk 1's... I'm even more excited!

I just harvested some cheese from seedsman...very indica dominant. Early buzz test says decent evening vibe but not really special. Should improve with cure of course.

Hey M
the super skunk is the secret ingredient in the escd no?
Hey MIM , yes , supposedly the Massachusetts super skunk was crossed with the chem to make diesel , or original diesel or headband , day wrecker etc ....
The the story moves over to weasel growing 91 chem or original diesel and a herm DNL ( nl x rfk skunk / Hawaiian ) or a super skunk herm pollinated the room .....
I don't know for sure there are a few versions and they all include chem , mass super skunk etc ......

I know we were smoking a true skunk in the late 70's and then it was lost the real interest in the diesels, for me came about because I felt the presence of that type of skunk that was long gone
But it seemed to re surface around the dog bud , and diesels

So even now , when I smell the good diesels , it brings me back to what I remember as skunk .....
Though there is a added dimension in my opinion to the Chems and diesels ....
I'm always interested when people hunt out a skunk
But sorry ...not the cheese
