The dry trim smells so much better than the wet trim already.
The wet trim I did has smelled funky the last 2 times, I'm gonna do dry trim next time after reading your thread. Thanks for posting your thoughts

As far as light, I like my Meijiu knockoff quantum board off alibaba. Many people like the kingbrite also. I still don't know what I'm doing, and could be getting better yeidls. But I don't blame the light

When you starting a new grow ?

Cheers,

Thanks, I won't be able to grow for the next couple months. I'll start the next one around march-may maybe, a long time.

How is your curing going gg
The wet trims are going really well, almost consistently 61 or 62 but the dry trims keep getting really humid like 65-70 so I think I might take it out of the jars to let it dry a tiny bit more. I'm burping the wets about once a day and the dries around 3-4 times a day.

There's one jar in particular that is pretty high rh but I think it may just be the hygrometer so I'm putting in a second one to see if they show the same number. I'll let them stabilize for an hour and I'll let you know.

^They're about the same, 63 and 64 so I guess I'll just air it out over night or something.

One of my jars goes up to 66 after about 30 minutes after burping and another goes up to 70 so I'm going to take out the buds from those jars and let them dry over night and see if it makes a difference.

Does the jar with the higher RH only have flower inside or do you have something else in there?

Just flower. When I woke up I put them back in the jars and they are around 55 so I'm going to put an orange peel in it just until it reaches 62 and then take it out and hope that it will stabilize.

You do understand that rh in the jar doesn't equal moisture content right? Buds with the same moisture will read different humidity depending on temp, jar size and other things. IMO you are better off ditching the hydrometers and going by bud moisture.

Wouldn't the moisture content of the buds directly affect the rh of the air in the jars?

Sure it will, but so does lots of things. How full the jars are, temp, change in temp, room rh, can all have an effect. And each pos chinese hygrometer can read different from one another.
I don't know how they should feel so how do I know when to burp?

IDK if they were mine they would all be in the same brown paper bag until they get to the right moisture, then jarred and opened whenever I need a bud.
Do you notice any difference in smell or taste with the Brown bags? I've tried a couple times with them, hanging in a closet now..

I just burped my jars daily I used the readings as a rough idea as to how fast they were drying after a week or two the readings were not rising as much And other indicators such as buds were no longer clumping.. then I let them go longer in the jars... Once readings were the same all eight jars all hygrometers for a week I put the packets in the jars.. those little hygrometers can be off as much as five or six points the ones I had held up matched my grow room hydrometers within 2 points.. I've since moved some of the product and three different sources report that the smoke burned smooth and the quality what's great!
