Jumping Right In! Brand New Set Up

The rock wool starters might be easier in the summer. This basement is very cold right now.

Thanks.

It’s all good. It’s just, I’ve been waiting so long to get things going. Anxious.
No doubt I totally get it, we've all been there. You're talking to the guy who grew out clones for 3 months, topped them, LST, scrogged, everything ...then flipped to 12/12 to find out they're MALE plants!!!!

Yup. Talk about starting over with nothing to show for it. Well... almost nothing. 😉👍

Hey everyone. It’s been a while. A lot has changed in my little tent city. Have had a fair bit of time to get things done.
The Turbokloner worked amazingly well. I checked on the clone progress again at the 14 day point. I thought for sure, judging by what I had read, that the roots would be an inch long by then. I was a little disappointed and once again disheartened to see that they weren’t. The ends of the cuttings were swollen like a bulb with small white bumps covering most of it’s surface.
I just left them alone again for another week. I just looked through the dome to see if they were still upright. That extra 7 days was good. Great roots for soil replanting. Maybe a little too long for rock wool replants but that is the plan. I had to gently coil them into the rock wool plug holes.

This was January 16. The day I replanted into rock wool.

Bruce Banner 2.0 on January 16. Three weeks after cutting.
I have to coil them into the holes then gently cover them with the croutons.

These were the weaker ones that I left behind In case replacements were necessary.

This is it. The beginning of the fun part.
I‘ve started out with 20 of each. Hopefully I can keep them all going.
Im hand watering for a couple of weeks while they strengthen and start new growth.
I don’t have a lot of height so I’m triggering by probably next weekend if all goes well up till then.

Yeah as soon as you see them bounce back from the transplant flip em if height is limited.👍

I was also figuring that I would now flower the moms I had going.
I have been itching to try a scrog session. So here it goes.
Some extra fire sprinkler pipes zip tied into a square and some netting.

It’s been 7 days since transplant now. The ones on the left, The New, is showing new growth. The Banners on the right are having a bit more of a tough time. There are signs of new growth just not as quickly. I did condition them under a LED light in the cloner without a dome for a few days without issue. Once I put them under the CMH, it was a bit much, even at full height. I had to turn the light directly over them off and just let them reach for the far one. That seemed to help.

This is my first Scrog so it is also a learning experience to boot. I did this to the moms on the 17th.
Nothing actually broke while weaving. I hope this right. I enjoyed doing it anyway.

This is today. The 23rd. It has really filled back in. I will be weaving and pruning again tomorrow I think. The light has been lowered and the humidity reduced to 50%.
I switched the timers to 12/12 on these today. Both of these strains are listed as 65 days. I would think probably around 70 days. We’ll see.
Start the stopwatch.

After 11 days since replant, The New is growing nicely. I would estimate 3 inches. The fresh growth is healthy green. I do notice a couple that look a little taco-ish so the light might need an adjustment.
The hand watering schedule has been steadily increasing. The first watering was 5 days between. I am now down to every other day. Right now, they look a little thirsty, I know.
I couldn’t get in to see them yesterday. I will take care of them tonight when the lights come back on.
I may flip them this weekend. I’m still undecided. With my height restrictions I don’t think I should wait much longer. I don’t want them getting too close to the light later.
