Have you a rough estimate when all 24 plants grow well the yield you would b expecting Aqua.and this setup covers a 6x6ft ..spose these will all b clones and vegged for 3 week?..

And here you go...

I've read everything on that site a bunch of times. I've been growing in soil for most of my life, which is one reason I think I'm having so much trouble now. I can't remember the last time a seed hasn't germinated for me. I'm just having trouble with early seedling growth in coco, whether to water daily to runoff, just enough to moisten it, or to treat it more like soil and water it every few days to let the roots look for water. Aqua has helped me with my water/nutrient parameters and light height so hopefully things turn around. I'm fully confident I'll do well with coco once I get my seedlings down.

Great thread Aqua, one of the most concise coco threads anywhere. Once I figure out how to grow healthy seedlings in coco, I feel confident I can finish the plants with this info!

If you scroll down you’ll see this:

I’m certainly no expert, and if not for Aqua man I would’ve already given up on CoCo.

We’re use Mosca genetics almost exclusively, and he (Rick) told me personally to prepare my pot the day before with whatever I use. ( Re-Charge, and RhizoTonic for me and then I use the CannaCoco grow schedule but NO NUTES 2 weeks with the autos.) and then put them straight into the Coco. This thing popped up in less than 48 hours with NO SOAKING, PAPER TOWELS OR SCUFFING! My buddy started his in rock wool cube about 10 days after me and didn’t tip them and they huge! However . He has a mixture of Sunshine Mix, Perlite, and peat. That way he doesn’t have to water but once a day.

That’s probably the only difference from photos because they’re very sensitive to nutes early on.

I was so depressed over it, but once I figured it out they freaking came back. You really have to have room to work so you can get to everything easily to determine how much runoff you’re getting. You have water slowly and all the way around the plant.

Anyway, this one is 18 days and the others are at 54. The one on the back right was stunted pretty bad, and the right front almost as bad. I topped them once and the others twice. Thanks didn’t know that you can’t let coco dry out and I was letting it dry out every day for a week🤬

Sorry to ambush the thread, but you’ll get it. Hang in there!

@Aqua Man what drippers are they you use? I noticed you have 4 per pot. I'm using the blue wilma drippers, they're more open ended tbh you get a lot of flow and I think they maybe causing this slight problem I have.

I get 350ml per minute flow from them so it flows fast through my pots. If I slow the flow from the pump I'm not sure if water distribution will be very good across 20 pots. I've just hand fed them all 1lt each with some great white I do this every few weeks, I checked the ec while doing this and it was 2.8 but with the drippers it's only coming out at 1.8 so I'm wondering if the flow is too fast through the coco and not flushing the whole pot just the stream where the water flows through the pot to fast?

I only use 4 cause I rather put em in than just close them and leave em laying around. They come on for 4 secs an hr. during lights on last feed 2 hrs before lights out right now and one in the middle of the night cycle. So 10x during lights on and one lights out.

Think these are them. I got em from home depot. And you can order the same ones super cheap off Amazon under a cheap brand.

These also work.

Bit you do need the pressure to run them. I haven't tried without but I think they need about 25psi. This is why I went with a 40 psi diaphram pump. But check the gph also they are not all the same.ill find a link to my pump.

Also the reason I run more drippers is because the pressure.. you wanna make sure the flow is not drastically below the pump rated since it has a pressure switch. It will cause the pump to cycle on and off a lot in how we use them and that can burn the pressure switch out. But for such a short duration its just more of a good practice than a must

Wow 4 seconds mines 2 mins so maybe my flow isn't fast then lol

cheers mate I've just been looking over your planning out coco thread and I think after this run I might redesign my dripper system, I had to use 13mm to 4mm Cross connections because the proper manifold are not easy to get hold of in the UK... So my set up is like this in the picture, I used 13mm hose and then 4mm for the drippers, all the 4mm pipe is the same length to keep flow even...

After reading that thread I'm wondering if I should join the 2 13mm ends up to make it on continuous run and use a bigger pump, mines only (317 gph) 1200lph....

Honestly you wanna keep 1/2 pvc as far as possible. If over 20 plants maybe even 3/4 then reduced at the t's where the risers are. That will ensure you get enough flow to the 1/4 for all the lines. IMO 1/2 min right up to the 1/4 lines. More than 20 plants and lines then 3/4 is how i would do it now with the t's going 3/4 to 1/2 for the risers.

Yes absolutely you want a loop to even the pressure out. Also remember gph doesn't translate into pressure so you may have a pressure issue if using say a pond pump.

I definitely need to do some upgrading on the next run then... This is the pump I'm using at the moment
Yeah if running the sprayers you will want a diaphram pump... seen them as cheap as $60. After this meeting I'll hint some down for ya... how many sites we talking about?
