Yes it does work in a overcrowded enviorment. Try clones out side or indoors with plenty of lights and space. Do one clone each vegged 1 month outdoors, or indoors in 2 different 6 x 6 tents with 1000w lights. The defoliated plant loses big every time.

It works you are correct about that part. I am not concerned about over crowding. If it gets the number which are now approaching 4 pounds a light with some strains I do not care about overcrowding. Also I am not concerned about 1 plant but what it takes to get to these numbers.

4 pounds per light ain't nothin. I get 6 pounds with a 40w cfl in 30 days. LOLOL
