Regardless, the key points I draw are not about epistar at all. It's how HLG has stolen and capitalized on a name. How whenever we get into these topics, skeptics (probably HPS holdovers) don't want to admit that their arguments (gibson guitars) don't apply here. In a globalized economy, fraudulent companies do not hang around 8 yrs and 5 yrs respectively by cheating their customers.

I remember the days before LED, the fights we had over which bulb was best for flower and veg, lord there were bullet holes every were. lol

It's not the VPD topic, its the new person who wants to do everything perfectly who ends up doing more harm because they are trying to do everything all at once without understanding the basics. I get more frustrated watching new growers hurt themselves by over-(s)mothering and doing more harm than good.

sure they do. How old is advanced nutrients? Should i make a list? Which hobby should I use for examples?

And those companies from shenzen were selling the fire starting blurples to all the resellers 5 and 8 years ago.

You cant defend companies with no trade laws. You are only defending the sales rep and advertising really. And your own investment which is the main point. The truth will not likely fit into that with budget products.

And hlg put out their “quantum boards” on riu years ago for testing. They developed this tech from samsung retail space light boards. They were all selling cobs already. An old member from here ttystikk got the first testers i believe.

Reputable companies do not engage in fraud and last in today's global economy. It would be suicide in the internet age. While what you say does have truth ... but those "truths" don't apply to "all" companies. Remember English class? "Hastie generalizations are always wrong."

What I hear you saying is something like this ... Because some products have been counterfeited by shady Chinese companies, then all Chinese companies engage in fraud. Frankly that argument is BS!

The university of michigan has a whole series of tests and published info on hps vs metal halide. I started there.

Very entertaining the post, the vpd debate was high on "nutrients" thank you both Aqua and Mid.

Here in the VERY old Europe the electricity is so expensive than a legal sodium grow is hardly afordable. Got friends with small (6-10lights) -paying electric bills -sodium and they are doing "ok".
So now with LEDs some of the ones we use to grow outdoor can get into the indoor game.

Some sodium growers tried to turn into LED and got back to sodium cause light stress /blocked on plants mainly.

LED is far more technical, its cause the vpd chart for led/co2 combo is tricky.
With 2 fluence LEDs I can grow 100 plants plus on trial for vertical with light resididuals with only 10 days veg clones (from the same room) straight to flower (lets see, but for now they are answering well)

i have not said that at all. That is called mis-direction in negotiating class. ;-)

I said you cant get more for less money.

And that i have experience dealing with these factories at a wholesale level. And the real parts cost more and they are lying about them in print as there are no laws preventing them from doing it and they have literally no scruples in business. And will tell you that.


and the guy in your link agrees about it.
