If you plop them right on that mat and not killing em with light and co2... set for about 74f and they will love it.
I can do that very easily ... I'm not sure if my yoyos will allow my lighting to extend all the way to the floor ... but the 5 gallon pots are there now and can be later on once transplanted ...

HPS for the win!!

I'm sure the really expensive LED's are great, the gram per watt might be a little better too, but you can start a large grow room for the price of a single quality LED. The quality of the finished product definitely won't be much if any better with an expensive LED.

I'd say if you want a little bit for yourself, can't go wrong with a 600w HPS. If you want to cash crop, several 1,000 HPS lights are the way to go. If you have $20k to blow, LED is cool, definitely won't absolutely crush the HPS though.

Thanks but it's for my own personal use 1 plant dose me fine as long as we are all growing good weed tube or led

They all work, just how much money you want to spend. A thousand dollar light is far cheaper than buying weed.

The sun is the real winner though, better spectrum than led and no electricity. If it was legal here I'd be 100% outdoor no grow lights. The GG#4 outdoor was hard to be tell from the hps GG#4 I did.

A 4x4 garden outdoors will definitely yield much better than a 4x4 indoor garden no matter what light or technique you use. Nothing wrong with LED, I'm just cheap and been using HPS for over 10 years. Lol

Yeah I've seen/smoked some outdoor Gg#4 grown here in Spain that was damn close to indoor.

I think you're on to something :D

I bet if weed was never outlawed grow lights would only be used for keeping parent plants and keeping clones from flowering too early outdoors. Of course pests, weather and mold are harder to control, but without prohibition we'd be breeding hardier plants for outdoors that can take almost anything.

Greenhouses are definitely kicking ass too, I was watching some video on one of the larger cannabis producers out West, saying they didn't lose any quality by switching to greenhouses. If I was legally allowed to grow I'd go with a greenhouse for sure, just a little harder to hide a large greenhouse than a few plants scattered around.

Theres no way to grow outside here without getting seeded flowers. Too much wild hemp growing in this area. Inside is my only option.

I'm looking to drop 300 in lights. Exhausting the heat will not be an issue if I get tubed hoods for mh and hps. Found a 1000w kit with both bulbs and vented hood for 260. Also found a single 315 cmh for 280.

I don't know which to buy. I want dense Buds in a packed 4x4 on fall phonics system. It will be right next to another 4x4 That I will build in the future. The incline cooled hoods will work great when I upgrade.. Idk about the CMHs.. I can't afford the 630 and I've read that's what I need for my 4x4.

I'm thinking just hps and mh for my price? I, doubt I'll have any complaints lol.. I want bulk fast.. Short veg times on hydro.

Mh for veg, hps for flower is a good option. Short bushy plants with dense Christmas tree buds.

I'm almost certain it will be overkill instead of all other options for the same price. I'm only speaking of results, not inputs or cost factors.

I'm going to run a 6 inch inline fan strait through the outside wall of my house lol. Ill have 2 vents outside, one for light heat and one for tent exhaust.

I'm not worried about electricity costs because I become debt free in 7 months and will be able to invest more into nice led equipment. I'm buying a building next to my home here in a few days. Sucker use to be a church with a huge basement. 60x25 building lol.. It's run down but it does have 25 foot ceilings. And like 15 different 8x8 rooms. I'm stoked.

Im gonna try to build a small shrimp biofloc system in one of the rooms. My posts next year should be far more interesting lol.

My humble little opinion is it's a trade off while hps is now much cheaper they still suck juice and throw heat but if your not haveing problems run it.

It's really not much of a trade off unless you're getting consistently 2 grams per watt or so. It's been well proven an HPS is capable of 1 gram per watt many have done a little better.

A watt is watt it creates the same amount of heat whether 1,000 watts of HPS or 1,000 watts of LED, power consumption is about the same, the ballast might use a little more power though.

I have definitely seen some people claim 2 grams per watt LED, but I've also seen a 600w HPS pull around 2.5 grams per watt in a vertical NFT type hydro system, sea of green. Awesome setup the dude had, but that's a high plant count. The build wouldn't be too hard and you are using every bit of light. Vertical growing is definitely the most efficient use of an HPS. Plant counts are definitely a downside to vertical growing, otherwise I'd build a couple vertical SOG NFT systems. Lol

My 150W MarsHydro LED is doing great for veg, roughly 1m x 1m. I may get a bigger light for flowering if my yield is super low this run.
