Got a couple of close ups of some of the week 2, day 6 flowers. Super frosty already.

Plants are still stretching but appear to be slowing down. Two (in the back) stretched a lot and the other two not as much. At one time, the canopy was pretty even with the first scrog net. I haven't wanted to mess with it too much now that they're full on flower mode. I accidentally broke a main branch the other day and panicked. Fixed it with a piece of scotch tape only after reading about the way I should have splinted it. It will have to wait till harvest to get the tape off. Happy ending, the branch survived and is looking great as it ever did.

Plants are super happy with the Terp Tea line up from Roots Organics. Next week they start getting the Bloom Booster in addition to the Bloom and Microbe Charge formulas.

6/11 Update- Day 4, Week 3 flower.

It's been a busy week behind the scenes getting some major logistic issues solved, mainly temperature and humidity. I have moved the dehuey back and forth inside and outside the tent. Everything @Aqua Man has said about getting the dehuey OUT of the tent makes total sense and I tried once earlier but gave up too soon. After I moved the dehuey back inside the tent the temps were completely out of control. So I backed up and regrouped. Here is what I did-

Completely blacked out all 3 windows in the room with multiple layers of materials to 100% block all light coming in during lights off hours. This way, I could leave all lower intake vents in the tent open and not worry about 3 hours of daylight we have this time of year both before and after lights out. That solved a lot of the air movement out of the tent with better intake, still not enough though to leave the dehuey inside the tent.

Next, I installed a window fan blowing out in the window next to the grow tent, then took the 8" duct that comes off the carbon filter and inline fan (both inside tent), which was just venting hot air into the room, and taped it to the front of the fan blowing hot air from inside the tent to the outside. This has to come off at lights off so I can close off the still remaining daylight coming through the window. I'd like to figure out a way to leave this in place as it did keep nightime temps up a bit by taking it out, but until I figure that one out, this arrangement seems to be working.

Finally, I brought the dehuey back outside the tent, set it at continuous run and watched the room. We had outside RH at around 50% and several hours later, the room was brought down to give or take 40%. After stabilizing over the next 18 hours, it's settling in around 35% in the room, 39% inside the tent, which I believe is right about where I want to be now at the end of week 4 flower which will be on the 14th.

I also lowered the light to 13" above the tallest flowers and increased the intensity to 75%. Should be able to keep it there for the rest of the grow, will increase intensity to 100% at the beginning of week 6 flower.

I've been feeding with the Roots Organics Terp Tea trio of Bloom. Microbe Charge, and for the first time this last feeding/watering, the Bloom Booster. I used the recommended dosage on the package and mixed with distilled water and cal/mag, then watered in. The plants are loving it and I see no signs of nutrient burn. I continue to feed/water/feed/water which spaces the feedings out approximately a week apart.

I did some mild defoliation of fan leaves which were blocking light from some lower flowers and some others under the canopy that had wind burnt from the fan. Appears the stretch period is just about over. The two plants in the back stretched quite a bit more than the other two in the front.

I have a pocket microscope coming in the mail and also another fan that I will mount in the tent for better air movement above the canopy. That should be here tomorrow.

Headed down the home stretch and I realize there is still a lot that can go wrong but so far so good. Thanks to all the folks who help folks like me succeed at growing what I am realizing is a very finicky plant!

7/17 Update-

FYI, there was a typo in my last update, should have said 7/11 update, not 6/11.

Things are going along well so far. Currently day 4 of week 5 flower. Waterings have increased to about every other day, about 1 gal each. Had a bit of leaf tip burn show up this week, but there were 3 waterings in between feeding so I'm thinking I'll be good. Went ahead and fed week 5 feeding today, but pulled back about 1/4 on the amount of nutrients at the advice of @Aqua Man.

Problem with temps and humidity solved (see my last update for more on that).

Other than that, they've pretty much stopped stretching and appear to be putting on weight on the flowers.

Two more feedings, for week 6 and week 7, and then I shouldn't have to worry too much as this grow closes out.

Thanks Bro, yea and you were one of the folks that helped me a lot in the beginning!

Since then, I did get the other Terp Tea formulas. So there is Grow and Bloom, and then I got the Microbe Charge and the Bloom Booster. I have also used worm castings, mostly through the veg and may top dress with them again next time I feed. I have read that is a good boost to the microbials during the final weeks of flowering.

So yea, feeding once a week or thereabouts depending on the watering schedule. It's been changing a bit but basically, I have been doing what it says on the packages. Last time I fed, I went on the higher side so when it says 1 tbsp to 1 tsp per gallon of water, I did the 1 tbsp. So if I remember right for week 4 on the 9th of July, I did 1 tbsp of Bloom, 1 tsp bloom booster, and 1 tbsp Microbe Charge and mixed in one gallon of distilled water with cal/mag added. Today, I fed again but cut back just a bit. I mixed 2 tsp Grow (last time for that), 2 tsp Bloom, 1 1/2 tsp of both Microbe Charge and Bloom Booster with each gallon of distilled water with cal/mag. 4 plants and they each take about 1 gallon but I this time I only mixed 3 gallons of feed mix spread out amongst the 4 plants and then finished with some plain cal/mag water. I'm trying not to overload them. Week 6 and 7 feeding I will probably go with the full dose again and then cut them off after week 7 to finish out.

Everything with this grow is coming together, today is the last day of week 5 flower. From what I can tell, I will be watering again in two more days and feeding at this time, then one more feeding before cutting them off with a plan for the 8 week harvest time. A lot of the lower fan leaves have been turning yellow and now some of the upper leaves on one of the plants are starting to show a slight yellowing, which I expect but it is coming a bit sooner than I thought it would. The other 3 plants haven't shown the yellowing yet at all. Next feeding they will get Terp Tea Bloom, Bloom Booster, and Microbe Charge with a final topdressing of worm castings.

I took a photo of one of the beautiful flowers. They are gorgeous and just amaze me.

Update 7/22/21
I am at day 2 of week 6 flower and getting psyched about finishing up my first grow. I watered/fed today using the Roots Organics Terp Tea Bloom, Bloom Booster, and Microbe Charge. I'm giving the max on the package so 1 tbsp each of Bloom and Microbe Charge and 1 tsp Bloom Booster mixed in a gallon of distilled water with cal/mag.

An interesting change I made this last week is I have been using the water from my dehumidifier along with the distilled water I have been making myself. It takes a long time to distill the water and that thing heats up the room it's in so not having to tend to that as much has been good. The dehuey is putting out over a gallon a day and I hate to just throw that out if I can use it instead of the distilled water. I did a lot of searching online to verify that it would be ok and many sites said that dehumidifier water is fine, even many cannabis sites said so including several folks here at the Farm who have used it. I tested for PPM and it was coming in about 12-18 and Ph'ing at about 5.9. So far, everything is fine.

I know a lot can go wrong between now and harvest but I am getting to a place where I can relax a bit and let the plants finish out. I have one more feeding at the beginning of week 7 and then it's just water. I am assuming I will need to keep adding cal/mag for the duration? If anyone has any input on that, please share!

I also noticed that some of the lower fan leaves on one plant are starting to fade to yellow. I know that is going to be a natural development at some point, but I did not expect it to start this soon. I thought it might be a little light on N but did not want to supplement, knowing they would get fed today with the nutrients N number combined at 5.5. If anyone has thoughts on that I appreciate that too!

They look great! And yeah I see what you mean about the height differences. I feel your pain! About the cal mag… I am actually phasing it out around mid flower, I was under the impression it can cause some sort of lock out for another flowering nutrient. Potassium or something 🤷🏻‍♂️ I can’t remember which off hand.

They look great. I wouldn't change to much. You can try adding a small amount if terp grow to slow the fade a bit but I'm not sure I would.

I thought about exactly that AquaMan but decided against it. Last week at feeding I did give 1 tsp Grow, and despite that, it's still yellowing. AND, there is the 5.5 N in the feeding I gave today. My thoughts are that is enough and the fade is most likely very normal. Thanks again Bro.

I think under normal circumstances, you might be right AmokNewb, but since I use distilled water, I have to add that every watering. Just wondering about those final two weeks where they get no nutrients at all outside the water.

Update 7/29

Today marks day one of week 7 yay!

Everything is going as planned and hoped so far. Had a bit of leaf tip burn and some clawing that freaked me out a bit. Especially this time showing up on many fan leaves and a lot of sugar leaves too. They were so pristine! Anyhow, fairly normal as I am learning in the latter stages of flower. Yesterday and today, I am feeding for the last time and will finish out with plain water mixed with 1 Tbsp molasses per gal.

One of the plants, back right, has really started to yellow below the canopy and starting to spread to the top. I did get a jewelers loupe and am still practicing with it. Those things take a bit of getting used to! Anyhow, I did see a small number of cloudy AND amber trichomes on some of the fan leaves on one of the flowers, but from what I could tell, most are clear from what I have seen. Each plants flowers are noticeably different, in shape and growth pattern, as well as in color. One on the front left seems to have yellowish trichomes, the back right are similar but not as yellow, and the other two are frosty white. I've noticed they have similar almost diesel smell to them. Interesting to say the least.

After much consideration, for this last feeding I scratched in a top coat of 1/4 cup of fishbone meal in each of the 4 plants, then watered in with 2 Tsp Terp Tea Bloom, 1 Tsp Terp Tea Bloom Booster, and one Tbsp Terp Tea Microbe charge mixed in 1 gal of distilled water with cal/mag added. The fishbone meal will give a gradual P boost during the last two weeks in addition to the PK boost from the Terp Tea line. Hoping this last feeding will help the flowers fill in a bit, which I have been a bit disappointed in so far. Perhaps they will put on some weight in the last two weeks!

Anyway, planning on riding it out on the downhill from here on out. A special THANK YOU to all of you who have helped and been so supportive!

"What a long strange trip it's been." JG

Someone please tell me why people want their plants in a deficient condition for harvest?
It's been shown by lab testing that it has almost zero effect.
