Is it not possible that all three variants of og kush were cultivated at the same time? There were a lot of crossing and breeding i would guess.

Best strains i have had would be nepalese hash, afghani hash and the rare red libanese

Yea, it was certainly circulating, and being passed around, but it all started from the Bubba. I just think about the collaboration that was going into it, really pushed it to evolve, cause you figure it was being grown in a lot of different locals, outside.. I've traveled a lot up and down the coast here in the past 30 years.

It was evolving, becoming more resistant. This plant was bred from it's origins to be an high powered outdoor variety, with vigor, and hardiness. ie. an Ocean Grown plant. Mostly Nothr, Mid to So. Cali, So much coolness, and vapor blowing in during the evenings, morning, then clears up and sunny. No other places like it on earth, perhaps, some mountain area's. But the whole US western coastline is nothing but mountains. Bubba was something that grew well in the hotter climate.

Here's my place in the mountains; I really love the rain forest.

I think so much gets blown out of proportion about independent breeders. Cause it seems collaborative networks is what's always really grown cannabis diversity, IMO. Look at DJ Short. Everything in the cannabis industry was turned on it's head because of how he collaborated with people. Different breeding techniques, and different grow environments builds cross vigor, when sisters are traded back and forth.

Simply put; When plants become well traveled, they become well adapted. I've got a background in biology, and I think there's solid evidence to support idea's behind what I'm suggesting here. Simply put, the more stuff gets passed around, the better it gets. Plants learn, and they remember, and they learn new adaption from microbes, and environmental conditions. All sorts of combinations an variables.

Being grown inside, and outside.

Speaking of biology. Its fascinating that one plant can grow out of a clone, just like if a seastar lose a leg it will grow a new seastar out of that leg !

life is a miracle brother, and a lot of different biological processes that are mostly tied all together. Symbiosis, mutual benefit, and balance with our ecosystem. But when the stars align, really good things can happen.

You really are, what you eat.

only 43% of your cells are even yours. The rest are Symbiotes. Balance; it's a real thing people don't want to acknowledge. For most of us in the West, it's a foreign concept. Western philosophy values extremes.

What he said...

But here's what Jack has to say: It's my personal opinion, OK, I love Chems and OG's., but for me, the best weed in the world grows in Vietnam. Nuff Said. Period. Jebus that was good weed.

Great strains, but I'm going to bring it back to the base of a lot of todays strains, good old Skunk #1 or as us old people call it, the roadkill skunk. Haven't seen any since the 90's.
I have a friend who is breeding ALL kinds of Skunk lines including Skunk #1 and Road Kill Skunk! A few others too! His place MUST smell like skunk farts! 😂

I've had plenty of that yes, and the black african also a few times. That blond hash was always great. I remember getting Thai sticks also, that would make you really stoned, almost hallucinate, but I don't know if it had some opium in it, or what. It was most certainly a different animal, than anything I've smoked now days.
I'm waiting on my friend in Africa who has the REAL African Black Magic; he's supposed to be sending seeds soon! 💚

Cannabis doesn't have thiols, but it does contain terpenes, the aromatic plant compounds responsible for all of pot's different strain flavors. Myrcene is a big part of that big skunky smell. Bud's actually got one of finest examples of that old SK1 line, straight from where that cultivar originated.

This strain is unquestionably among my top 3 choices.
Hands down, the best one I've ever smoked come from here; Right around Eddieville, Or. In this small mountain community.

She's such a genetic freak, I just love it. those little sugar leaves just really standout. It's really a key feature, IMO. Not even pointed in some cases, but rounded.

At first; I thought it might be something I was doing, but it appears totally normal. Starts showing that really well around early-> mid flower. So much of it's structure is atypical.

Actually, I've seen it more recent than that. It's in Oregon for sure, (on the coast) and the one I had back in 2005-7 was so strong you couldn't even walk in a room with 1//8th of it rolled up in a bag and in your pocket. The entire room will be starting at you.

I need to get a good skunk, and a decent representation of the Sour Diesel (I've got one coming though actually, SD x GSC in late veg) , and some Strawberry Cough next.
I just finished a (Big Growing) Thai today that's finally cured, it's got big fruity citrus lime tones, so very nice, I love citrus.
Dude you’re talkin my language. Thai, sour diesel, Sour Diesel, strawberry cough...just rattling off all my favorites lol. I’m growing some sour power bag seed right now but always hope a good sour d seed is out there somewhere. Strawberry cough seems non existent, to me anyway. Can’t find the real one anywhere.
