Well I'm making a decision. I'm gonna follow
@tobh here and give crop steering via irrigation a shot. I've always hesitated because overfeeding used to happen to me quite easily with the lower light levels. That is no longer a concern..

So today I have set the irrigation for 8 small shots of water throughout the lights on period, aiming for runoff by around shot #3.
When I flip in a couple days I'll do fewer, somewhat larger shots through the day and allow for more dryback between feeds for about 3 weeks and then switch back to Vegetative irrigation steering.
I'll also use climate steering by reducing temperature for the first week of the generative stretch phase.
