Just so you know, my dog is never in my grow 😊 My actual point was if it’s that deadly to dogs, I don’t trust the safety for humans. Worst thing my dog would come away with from my grow would be fishy breath from seaweed😉 with a hint of kelp on the side.
But... Chocolate is poisonous to dogs. Different species, different metabolism. If you had pet mice that's a different story. People who have pet spiders can kill 'em with too high a concentration of terps in their cannabis, lol. Just sayin'. :)

Better find that spider. Probably won’t last long without a source of moisture. I try and catch lizards that get in the house and save them but if I don’t get them I find them Two weeks later Mummified.

I found my ball pyton under the bathroom vanity where the drain pipe goes through the floor. I blindly put my hand through the hole and felt ole Jake. I have a 6th sense.

Pheat,
"I use raw cane sugar. It naturally contains some molasses, but it's mostly sucrose. Cheap. Dissolves fast. Endless supply in my kitchen."
How much and when?

Why would you use that?

We post almost daily that using molasses is not a good, science based practice ... It's a feast then famine thing where after the sugars are gone you have massive microbial die-off. That die-off has a NEGATIVE effect on your grow. Eventually it will acidify your soil pH and contribute to nutrient lock-out.

It creates the opposite of homeostasis. Soil microbes are supposed to have a symbiotic relationship with the plant's roots. Dumping sugars into the soil disrupts that process.

I used FloraNectar which is derived from molasses. As MIGramps pointed out ended up with a microbe problem. Using terpinator this grow. We'll see how it goes, but using it more because friend said it helps frost up the buds more. Best I've found so far is Incredible Bulk which has a lot of sulphur. Have really gotten fatter and stinkier buds since using it. Debating using the FloraNectar again, but just the last 2 weeks so I can limit any problems, and 'push' the plant at the end.

It's my understanding that this rapid increase and microbial die-off happens much quicker than that 2 week window you're speaking of. Sulfates have been scientifically proven to both stimulate terpene production and helps sustain a balanced microbial population and in my eyes is the better/safer route to go.

Fuck microbes. Im introducing molasses to come in and take their land, force a mythical and midevil notion that what im doing is in their best interest in the end.😄
Geeeeee, where have we heard about this before? (Only from every Elder in our immediate family/tribes). On the other hand and the reality of it.. I have been using black strap for years and will continue to do so.

Well im First Nations so yes im smarter than the average scientist who says molasses is bad.
Get a life buddy this was like 6 years ago. Fuck. Go outside and play or something.
Get over it.

And I guess that makes you smarter and much more knowledgeable than the scientists who have made these kinds of studies their life's work? As I stated before, it's your grow.
I was just checking out your grows. Loveeee the way you have set up your grow area! You will have to look over those of us that no longer trust the science. As for me for the past ten years I have been using black strap and have never had the first prob with deficiency’s, lock outs or otherwise. I use only black strap, seaweed, worm castings and kelp. My biggest challenge is to not outgrow my state allowed grow space. I don’t foresee changing that no matter what the science says. As we know in this game it’s each to his own.
Yesterday we spoke about the xylitol being so dangerous to animals, I have done some more searching and have found out it is just as deadly to humans that have diabetes. It causes a mass disruption in the pancreas which is the organ that disperses insulin. Sad thing is, this is the very ppl that this product targets. Little things like this, makes the science hard to trust.
Happy growing Grandpa, no disrespect here. 😊

I'm an organic grower so microbes are my friend. I want a steady population, not a flash bang and die-off.

As for keeping plants inside their grow area ... that can be a challenge especially outdoors. I started late with the idea of trying to keep my outdoor plants from outgrowing their space. Even with aggressive use of LST techniques, I'm questioning if I'll have enough room to finish.

Xylitol - I wasn't aware of that, but I'm also not surprised. There's a number of artificial sweetners that can provoke a glycemic response.

As for respect, you're always respectful even in disagreement. We need more people on this board like that.

Yes using molasses in a tea is a faaar better option. That said its still unnecessary other than for a renew or inoculation of the soil.

Remember sulphur is a major precursor but that doesn’t mean more is better. Balance is key

That shit dont fly here buddy. debate all you like but keep the garbage of personal attacks out of this. This community is full of respectful debate and your not going to ruin that.

While I absolutely respect your ancestry imo it doesn’t make you you any different than anyone else
