after i test the hatch chile seeds i have for viability, i'd be down to send you a handful so you can grow some legendary New Mexican chile (just can't call it Hatch as that name is trademarked and they'll sue anyone that uses it lol)Hot peppers coming on. Salsa 2022 will be spicy.
these are similar to anaheim peppers, though they've been bred to produce more heat. The variety I have I'd wager are referred to as "Doublecross" or comparable. Spicy bastards for sure. But, there's nothing quite like the flavor after you roast em, peel em, and throw em in whatever dish.Never grown hatch chilies. This years peppers were variety cayenne so not super hot, typically I’ve grown jalapeños, and cayenne.
They stay pretty compact? I wonder if I could grow in my aerogarden. Keep me posted on how they turn out, I’d be keen on giving them a go.you want some of them chile seeds i was tellin ya about? i'm gonna start some test germinations this weekend. if they pop, imma grow em out and do chile in hydro. see how they turn out. and if they germ, would be happy to send you some, they should easily make it over the border. i'll declare them as novelty items for customs lol
like a typical pepper plant. maybe 3' max. they're not a vine type (i don't think any capsicum are vine types) and they don't get super big. from what i remember going to the fields as a kid, they were like knee high on a grown ass 6' tall terrifying looking Mexican lolThey stay pretty compact? absolutely gorgeous dahlias! one of my favorite flowersSome nice looking tomatoes @MichiganHooligan, sliced up tomato with fresh slice mozzarella, and balsamic reduction, little salt and pepper. So good.
Nothing better than vine ripened homegrown tomatoes.
