Hey everyone! This will be replacing an old thread that I wanted to start over with.
First off, much love to all.
Easier to show picture of nutes than list. And no, I'm not a flat earther flusher 😆, I have it just in case I over feed.
Sensor pic is of lights off, the "outside" is the wireless sensor at canopy level.
One plant pic is of mother plant with lights at lowest setting, which is not just for pic.
Let's see here...
Black Domina seeds by CKing Seeds. There are 8 plants in 4x4, based on a total of four from seeds, each one is cloned once.
4 cheap Chinese 100w quantum boards, 4 cheap Chinese Far red bars.
8" exhaust, two 4" intake. Massive air flow.
Have two forms of silica to compare if MSA is worth twice the cost of TPS Gold.
Will post pics of current plants by end of week.

If I left something out let me know, I'm feeling pretty good right now 🙃 this won't be too scientific of a grow, no live sensors or ph controllers other than temp/RH. One day I will have that stuff, but until then, this is what I got. Fyi I have no chiller, water was at 82 initially with lights hanging at the lowest setting, now at 78 with lights on. I am relying on bennies and silica for heat stress resistance.

TPS billions was too much even at half of recommended dose, the bennies had a huge bloom, foam on top as well. Took almost a week to settle, now there is a smell but like a good live smell not like what causes root rot. I don't think I will add any more and ignore the recommendation to add at every change. I leave enough residual in buckets to carry over.

Edit: I can't say for sure about above, I will be able to make a better decision about using after initial setup as time passes.

Alright I got some photos.
Three bigger ones are from seed and were transplanted two or so days ago. The one with a red circle is showing big signs of stress from a big loss of root mass during transplanting. They came from a aerogarden like setup, I had them in there too long and all three plants had their roots entangled. When I was taking them out I ripped a bunch off of that one with the red circle just so I could get them separated. It all happened so quick!!! But I know they will bounce back.

The other two have some stress from roots being torn, but not as bad as the one.

Now that roots have touched water, I will be doing a res change on the clones to better suit them. They all have a very weak ppm now and I can tell they all need something, but was just waiting for roots.

The foam is from tps billions. Very active stuff. I will only be using it at 1/4 strength from now on, I had started with 1/2 strength for initial setup.

Temp/rh of tent is top half of sensor, this is lights on, 40 minutes, I've noticed the highest is 82.

Air bubbles are without air stone. Raw air. Lol raw air... Sounds funny.

@Moe.Red & @Aqua Man
How much work am i lookin at to link buckets together (probably only do 4/5 total next time) and add an external tent res to this setup for next time?

Nice I grew sensi seeds black domina once it was had a very different taste kinda savoury.
Funny enough I was thinking about trying it again this morning as it’s one I liked & yielded well.

Lovely smoke , got a very different smell in flower hope you enjoy it :)

Yeah, I've read that Sensei seeds are responsible for creating the Black Domina strain, which for those that don't know(should have listed above) is a cross between:

Black Domina: Cross of Afghani SA, Hash Plant, Northern Lights, and Ortega

I hope that these seeds are legit, because I read one review of Black Domina that the user swore this did miracles for his Crohn's/Ulcerative Colitis, which I have. I read that to get the most medicinal properties that i am looking for(cramp relief, pain, insomnia) I will want more amber at the end. @Gmix what did your trichs look like when you harvested this? were the pain relief effects substantial?

I hope I enjoy it too!!! :)

oh! hey if you don't have any seeds leftover, I do have 8 clones going of this, and a mother. If you really want to do it again, i'm willing to mail to ya with only cost of shipping covered. I promised another guy on here too, maybe a trade with that person tho :)
Clones will be established in another week or 2.

Interested to hear your opinion on the difference of potassium silicate vs monosilicic acid.

What is your method for comparing them?

I'm making my own with Agsil16H, which like TPS Silica Gold is derived from potassium silicate.

I just got the TPS gold, it will take some time to compare. One way I just thought of would be to treat one clone with potassium silicate and another with MSA. I could tell in one day the effects of MSA on my babies who were most def stressed out before addition. The cost of it made me get the TPS gold.
Now this is purely IMO but I feel if the MSA is more readily available it will be easier to uptake when plant is growing rapidly like in stretch, and I will use the potassium silicate every other time.

I really liked this chart that was from a study assisted by Bruce. Note the activity level of MSA across the ph board. To me this shows its superior stability. Of course potassium silicate will still work, but the study is interesting.

I need a 30 minute video By Dr. Bruce Bugbee to be able to understand that lol

It would be pretty neat if you were able to do a control study on at least 3 plants, giving one potassium silicate, one monosilicic acid and one no silica.

I am also interested in the real world difference. This run is already contaminated, don't have a good control. Next run I will, the whole run will be clones starting at the same time.

Oh gosh that was like ages ago I grew it , just one that stuck in my mind due to its flavour.

I looked at what you have as I have Hyperkalaemia & there’s is someone in a email group with Crohn’s disease But I can see They are totally different conditions. Still it didn’t sound nice hope it does help you

Up close of what it looks like when the plant suddenly loses 1/3 of its root structure during amateur transplanting.
Charlie Brown sigh 😔
I predict she will perk up in a week
It will pick up if a few days.
The best time to transplant is when the plants dry it will come out as one chunk rather than when its wet as some of it sticks to the bottom & is easy to rip.

I like to add some superthrive & seaweed extract, if you pot them well the seaweed kinda pushes the plant to grow threw the stress or it helps I dunno either way it definitely helps

Good luck next time

Ahh, I think your help refers to soil. These were transplanted from water to water. The roots of two plants were entangled if that makes sense. While separating the root mass I pulled them apart hastily and... Well I was left holding a handful of what was once healthy, attached roots. Sad.
And thanks for the super thrive, I forgot to add it in my picture line up, that and southern AG.
First time using superthrive this run, interesting stuff.

Moved the way the intake fans were situated to try to make a cyclone effect, turned that massive exhaust up from its lowest setting..... and tent temps dropped to 80! a good five degrees 🙂 happy dance.
Just did a change on all the buckets in the past two days, put super thrive, tps billions, tps gold silica, GH nova grow, 1000 ppm. Source Tap water kdf filtered 200+ppm

Really need a bigger humidifier, I can only get up to 50% rh.

Going on super big hike today!! Will post an awesome pic later
