Walk me through your watering process. Don't say you pull them all out one by one.

That’s how lol

Takes a few gallons and 5-30 minutes to do it right

Hey @Observationist did you get the idea to do this from my hemp starts? 😀

Lookin' good!

If I might add my .02 cents - next time use little fabric pots like I did and the roots will grow into each other's pots giving you a little extra space for roots to run around (which works fine if you intend on leaving them together like that, but it was slightly problematic for my hemp starts as they were eventually separated and put outside in a field, so I had to move them around every day to keep roots from growing into the other pots)

Also I highly recommend Husqvarna sprayers for watering/spraying needs. Parts are easy to find if needed (rarely if taken care of properly) and they last a long time. I use their 2 gallon and 4 gallon backpack sprayers. A little pricey, but they also have a 5 year warranty. Best sprayers I have found to date, in my opinion.

https://www.lowes.com/pd/Husqvarna-4-Gallon-Plastic-Tank-Sprayer-with-Shoulder-Strap/1000092467 <--- This thing is a BEAST and being 4 gallons instead of 5 like the STIHL models we used to use landscaping, makes it a little less cumbersome to use, especially if you have a bad back like I do!

Good luck bro and lookin' goooood! 🤠

Yeah just make sure you keep the pump seals lubricated with petroleum jelly (just a light coating) especially on the 2 gallon style pumps, those o-rings wear out fast if you don't keep them lubed. But my favorite part about the Husqvarna sprayers is the wand is longer than most other brands, also has a filter built in and is easy to clean/maintain.

I was always told petroleum jelly is bad for o rings
Petro Jelly is really only a possible problem with o-rings made out of Buna which is the common base material for the most part for black so called rubber o-rings. But buna o-rings can come in other colors esp. with shit head china making them orange/rust red and and calling them viton or gray/white and calling them teflon. Fucking POS country. Petro distillates attack buna. It reduces the heat they can take and dries the material out. So many failed buna o-rings that have been installed with grease, oil, petro jelly look like they have been cooked like they have seen constant temps above 210/220f with a max of 225f if a quality product.

M-55 is the grade of lubricant you want for Orings… almost 20 yrs of rebuilding airbrakes and railway equipment which in large part are basically, seals, pistons and orings. You can prob buy it at the hardware store or online in a small tube and its not cheap.

this stuff… https://www.ellsworth.com/products/...lykote-55-o-ring-grease-off-white-150-g-tube/

Yeah, as a former automotive technician myself I agree with this. It largely depends on what the o-rings are made of, but in this case I've been using Vaseline for my sprayer parts for years now, and have never had to replace them.
