Yup! Same as we used to do. Mix up some regular soil and perlite with worm castings, bone meal, blood meal, guano, lime, rock phosphate, fish bone, dolo, azo, kelp, etc. We'd load up 55 gal drums and dump a couple gallons of water in and seal them up. We'd leave them to cook in the sun and we'd turn them 2 weeks in. After a month they were ready but if we could we'd wait another 15 days. 45 days was the sweet spot for us.

Habanereos, Chiles, Cucumbers, Cantaloupes, Tomatoes, Bell Peppers.......wow...Nice veggie garden. Are those heirloom tomatoes? Whenever I grow heirlooms I always split them from watering too much. I never can get the water ratio right so that they don't split.
Yep heirlooms always I refuse to grow GMO

Also the 4x4 scrog just got an upgrade just about to update the 4x4 journal but here’s a quick pic 😁

Yes dolomite, and kelp, forgot those, oh and I add nematodes and some earthworms after it's cooked, I like to think I rescue them from being bait so they work hard for me 😆. I use my tidy cats cat litter bins cause, well reusing stuff is cool and they snap nice and tight and are easy to stir with the hand tiller. I usually make my soil some time in April, whenever there's a decent day, then ladies get planted the beginning of June. I also amend my regular veg garden directly in the ground as soon as it's thawed, which usually involves several days of tilling and picking rocks that have surfaced. My husband's friend has about 20 horses, so we have a manure connection lol. I'd like to learn more about the different organic techniques out there, I just do it the way I learned from my mom, she was a green thumb extraordinaire.

I hear you about the heirlooms. I've been running the same seeds for 12 years and don't plan on switching anytime soon. I save my own each year and even save some potatoes for the spring to slice up replant. I do buy some basil starts from a local greenhouse each spring though. My area is too cold for basil to survive the winter like my thyme, parsley, and chives do

Same here 🤣 bunch of bozo dogs, unless ya mess with the kids lol, and all 4 of the dogs posted up around the house somewhere lol I know the youngest dog is always by my sons side and my 2nd oldest dog is always by my daughters side since birth and those 2 don’t play lol they just post up and guard them in the yard, the other 2 are just bozos lol

Hey everybody! It’s check in time! I see a lot of good things going on in here!
I’m back on my feet and crazy crazy busy. I am officially retiring and getting all of my ducks in a row to get it done.
I have been offered some wonderful opportunities and I plan to grab on, laugh a lot and grow some xlent cannabis! After I have been so sick, it just showed me that life is short..make the most of it! I’m doing just that.
PS… I’m popping some Blackberry Moonrocks..

My Grandpa had a fifty five gallon drum with a spigot on the bottom. We would go catch fish and he would put the rest inside the barrel with water and let it sit in the sun. Oh gads the smell! But, I think it would have grown strawberries on a rock!

Just getting ready to grow. Week 2.5 of being bagged, six different strains. Veg is on!
Wow they look lovely. One that is front right is acting a bit ATF-ish already huh? Has that "get off me, this whole tent is mine" attitude look 😯

All is well, now. I’m back on my feet, with the legalization here in Mo. I have been teaching on average three to four nights a week. Every body wants to grow! I don’t blame them!
I won the Shooter of the year, and am being courted by several different components of the competition shooting industry, and will be shooting in four states this year. I am also being courted by ViparSpectra to grow using their lights. Been busy looking for worthy ppl to take over my mgt position in the summer rental industry, and have had my Daughter and grand baby move back home, while she is having a place built. In the middle of this wonderful storm, I’m trying to mind my own crops! Just stretched thin!
I know I will get back here full time soon as each day I am ticking off the list.
So good to hear from you. Thanks so much to all of you that has kept this rolling! Was great to come in tonight and see all the chatter, pics, animal babies and giggles!

That selfish lady is that Orange Widow 🙂 She’s used to having her own tent!

@CannaGranny so glad you're feeling better! Wish I was in your neck of the woods so I could take a class from you!

I wish you was too! I think you have it figured out! But I would for sure share a cup of Java, a glass of homemade wine and a good smooth smoke with ya!

Where are you going to be competing? And what tools of the trade do you use? I went shooting last weekend. Loaded up the Goldwing with a basic short action Colt AR, S&W 686P 4", G20 and a few compact and sub compact 9mm and .380's and a 1k rounds of my loads and reloads. Got some run and gun in. 25, 50, 75, 100 yard pistol shooting done. Also did some 300 yard plinking with the AR. And ran some ladders with Sierra MatchKing 68 gr. HPBT I built up at 100 yards. AR liked every round regardless of load. Seems that 69 gr. bullet and 1:7 really liked each other.
