Good Morning all, still frosty here in the morning although were starting to get into double digits through the day. I should be able to take the snow tires off soon.....

Off to the range to shoot a few is not something I've ever done. We used to go to the range to whack a bunch of balls but never shoot any......different ranges I guess.
I’ve done both, combining them is real fun. 🤣

My entire life I have refused to chase balls!😝 I will without doubt shoot an X though. Make of it what you will! Lmao!
I had a rat problem for a bit and an old buddy said I should get a pellet gun and have some fun...I brushed it off but Amzoning the other day a pellet gun popped up $1895.00...WTF...

So i googled and found them at $149.00 with scope and bag....but it said I needed a PAL...wtf is that......

I need a gun permit and a police check and a fire arms safety coarse WTF for a pellet gun.......

I wasn't really looking to get one but now I'm pissed off I can't without all the bull shit. I bought one a few years ago for a birthday gift for my son...no issues but now I need a fking police check? WTF.......

ooops rant.

Shocked about the price! The other not so much. All a part of that control. That’s apparent with all of the gun crime in the US. Truth is we all know that does not stop the bad guys from having them. Guns don’t kill people, people kill people. Just like a car. I suspect that will be next.

Where’s this? Haven’t bought one in 5 years but that sounds off?

This one that’s over 500fps or a gas one like a .22LR?

Pet peeve that non gunnies believe politicians. They know they lie about everything else.

The police & media called a Ruger 10/22 in a “tactical” stock an assault rifle. It can only have 10 rounds up here because of the pistols using the same magazines. Argh. 🤦

Morning all from Opie Taylor, the most jealous cat in Mo. He’s fixing to be super pissed cuz I have to make him get down. Have company and fresh eggs on the way!

I'm just trying to find the info I read, I found the gun and what the P.A.L is but not the ad that said I needed one.....Although I never would have even known what a PAL was without reading I needed one

Air guns that are firearms for purposes of both the Firearms Act and the Criminal Code
These are air guns with both a high muzzle velocity (greater than 152.4 metres or 500 feet per second) and a high muzzle energy (greater than 5.7 joules or 4.2 foot-pounds). Air guns need to exceed both thresholds to be classified as firearms for purposes of the Firearms Act.

These high-powered air guns are subject to the same licence and registration requirements as a conventional firearm. Owners and users must store, transport, display and handle them safely in accordance with the regulations supporting the Firearms Act.

It’s been my experience that 500fps or higher alone was enough. But they keep changing things. And are still changing things as we type. I believe August is when more get shoved through.

With all the discussion about weather, how will a significant El Nino impact anyone’s outdoor grows this year.
It’s just now changing from La Niña to what looks like it might end up being considered a “super” El Nino.
Affects to weather worldwide are expected, normally dry areas will get more rains than normal, normally wet locations will likely be dryer than normal.
Could be an interested 12 to 18 months if this thing turns into the monster it appears to be.

Stay tuned.

This is why I can’t get anything done! This is Opie Taylor, he thinks is my job to just sit and hold him!View attachment 1348092
Many years ago, when I was a student, a cat showed up at our door, meowing to demand entrance. He walked in like he owned the place. I suspect his former owner once lived there, but I can't say for sure.

He instantly claimed the most comfortable chair in the living room. If you sat in it, that was OK, but he'd curl up in your lap and stay until you got up. We named him Chairman Meow. (Everyone knew who Chairman Mao was back then.) He was actually Chairman Meow the 1st, because it was too good a name to die with him. There were a couple after that.

For varmint shooting I picked up a break barrel pellet gun from a manufacturer named Beeman.

Very accurate and very powerful. I equipped it with a scope and light for possum and racoon hunting.

Ive got a Benjamin .22 cal pellet rifle. Ive shot anything from mice to woodchucks with it. My advice, aim for the eyeball, gets em good every time.

Those are great. I especially like the fawn.

I was putting pin flags in the ground to mark an area for a landowner, and this little one was in the exact spot I was going to put one of the flags.
