Thank you so much for the help and info. I topped her today thanks. I'm trying to keep up with the plant as best as possible but she has a mind of her own. Lol imagine new grower of marijuana but have been an organic farmer since birth lol but awesome advice and please feel free to give me more when you see me messing up.lol
we dont learn as much when everything goes smoothly...enjoy the ride even the bumpy parts right? After Topping you will see she will divert her energy to her side branches as well as the 2 new tops! I ran straight organics for several years(it was a hippie thing-yes I was a Hippie) after 20+ years Sun-Grown Outdoors or Soil in Pots, for the last 8years I run Coco/Hydro only and MegaCrop Salt Nutrients, Hi- Freq fertilization, to me and many grower friends Soil indoor is Old Tech...But I will not argue true Sun Grown Organic is hard to beat in Quality, but you will have less weight. I have seen in side by side grows my Coco Plants grow 20-25% faster and out produce my indoor soil grows by far. Good Luck Dragon

I'm in no way trying to contradict advice given above because most if not all is on target. I will say this though ... if you don't want to top, super-crop.

I do a lot more with super-cropping and LST techniques than I do with topping/pruning my plants. This is a personal choice.

Anyway, both are valid options. One isn't superior to the other. What you pick should work best for your situation and grow space. However, if you don't train, you will waste plant resources and space.

Since you topped, here's another tip ... to get most out of that topping, allow the 2 new stems a week or so to grow so you can pull them apart and have 2 main colas. I've seen people top and flip and end up with a short extra wide double cola maybe 6" in size.

All the commercial grows in my area are using coco. Why? It's the easiest to fertigate ... meaning high frequency fertilization. This reinforces what @Choppr is saying. It takes more skill starting out because you the grower controls the variables. So you have to know the variables and (pH/ppm etc) and how to juggle them.

Soil is still probably the best medium for most home-growers though. It's a bit cheaper than coco and a lot cheaper than setting up other forms of hydro. It's also the most forgiving. It might take a longer time to show issues and then to correct them ... but in hydro based applications which I consider coco to be ... it's not so forgiving. A rookie mistake can cost a grower their whole crop.

At least coco is kind of in the middle between those 2 extremes.

Thanks for the tip..I'll look at doing that if I remember when the time comes...lol but this sounds like an amazing little strat I'll have to try. Thanks again for all the help! :) Happy growing!

It's so hard to be patient when they're getting so close to being done. It's worth the wait, though. 😊
