My boss, the owner of the European shop I worked for, had a joke about BMWs. He said he was going to invent the "Ultimate BMW Repair Tool". You don't even need to open the hood. You simply walk up to the front of the car, insert the tool into the grill, it removes the radiator cap, and you just pull it out and save that part. Replace the rest, and insert radiator cap back into the car. 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

Yeah I like Audi, VW and Porsche. But, definitely not a fan of BMW (Broke My Wallet). I've seen some of the dumbest engineered shit on BMW than I've ever seen in my life. Stay the hell away from Mini, too. I can't tell you how many Mini engines I've replaced, but more than 10 in a period of 2 years, easily.

They say that BMW is "The Driving Experience" .. and in many ways, it is. They are NOT "The Fixing Experience" though. When BMWs break, they BREAK.
Beavers are rough cars, mother in law had an m5, nice looking car. You get in it, literally every single button, broken. Nothing worked. It was new……😂

Not to get "too political" here but the automotive repair industry has gone to shit and it can almost all boil down to the "Cash for Clunkers" program. It nearly singlehandedly destroyed the industry, taking hundreds of thousands of perfectly good cars off the market forever. Between that and the automotive companies purposefully reverse engineering parts to save money, planned obsolescence, etc. They don't want people to fix their cars anymore. That's the truth of it. They want you to finance a 30,000 dollar pile of crap, drive it for 4 years, then roll your debt over into another 30,000 dollar pile of crap, and making parts and systems that are more expensive to fix than buying a new car, it's all garbage.

Yeah, I could go on and on about this. I went to a top automotive school and paid thousands of dollars for a degree in an industry that collapsed just after I got said degree. I'm just a wee bit salty about it 🤬
Change is constant. There may be right ways and wrong ways to do things, but we can't just be a "no", we have to have a say in that change. I'm sure when the automobile came around there were people in the horse and carriage industry that thought it was a terrible idea.

A few bonus yoinks…..

@Novaracer69 do you still race good sir?
No sir I quit year's ago after my son was diagnosed with bi lateral cancer of the kidneys. Everything went on hold for a long time. I quit racing and growing in 2009.

I could only imagine, racing costs even more now. It’s insane what 5 gallons of vp costs now. Glad to see you growing again!

Fucking Hondas. He was talking so much shit in staging bro, I’m the fastest car on the property blah blah blah. I just laughed (I was by no means the fastest car there, fastest Pontiac maybe) he didn’t notice the outlaw 72 nova with the giant N/T on his window, fucking 7 second car on the draggie. Anyways, I taught that idiot a lesson in humility.
There are certain tenets in life that escape no one.

#1 Is when you talk shit, you eat shit. He learned that, or maybe he's still talking shit lol.

#2 In an ocean of plastic, turbos, and fart rockets, beware the older dude in the Detroit steele Pontiac with meats like that in the rear. I know he learned that shit! 🤣

My tires are bigger than his car hahahaha, I looked over his car earlier in the day, real cocky kid, if you notice, I don’t have a chute, but he did, that means a 150 mph car at least. I get yelled at ALOT by the tech team because I refuse to update the cage, it was one of the last things my pop did to it before he died, shitty welds and all, it stays just the way it is. But, I have a consistent high 9’s car. The parachutes don’t scare me when you have a Honda motor with enough nitrous to make a tank a ten second ride, and as soon as he didn’t get heat in his tires, he was mine. Turned my rear view to his lane (I like to watch when I hurt feelings) and checked out. It’s too hot to run right now, she would have her tongue hanging out after 1 pass…..

With a rye smile, and a chuckle, keep talking Bieber……..you’ll see. 😜

lmao the dude in the honda got of the line like a snail

Savage!

I'm assuming you're running a big block... What's going on under that skirt?
I actually, believe it or not, i am running a Pontiac conventional 372 short block. Holley dominator feeding it, strange rear, rossler 2speed with overdrive. I have a Chevy big block on the stand I’ve been working on for a few years. But like I was saying, I’m constrained on putting one in, because I don’t want to cut out any old roll cage my dad put in, but I want to do a large single turbo Chevy BB deal eventually……but, I have an 05 GT I probably going to put that in. The Pontiac is a relic. Love driving it.

Us Pontiac guys have a thing about doing more with less. It even washed over onto my grow style lol.

@BillyBanchan

This is my rifle, there are many like it, but this one is mine…..
