Pretty sure that’s thrips. If you zoom in on the middle finger of the middle leaf, you can see the dookie. whatever was eating your plant lacked courtesy. Some type of critter action is going on though.

Damn I hope that’s not the case. That may be some loose soil you see, I picked them off the floor from a clean up. I went in to sanitize the room and peeked in and those were the worst ones. I do treat the soil with DE prior to transplanting and it just popped up. I really hope it’s not thrips or imma be irritated, I really would hate to add more DE this late in flower. 🤞

Do you know if mosquitoes will make those kind of marks? I know I’ve had a couple of mosquitoes find there way in and I fight to kill those lil fuckers

You know, honestly about the skeeters, I’m not sure. It’s possible though. And yeah if you are using diatomaceous earth in soil, that’ll slice up what ever is crawling around on the medium as you know, but thrips live more on plant than soil. Your right about the poop, didn’t even considered skuzz from transplanting. Now that you mention it that’s more likely. I’m pulling for you bro, I hope I’m wrong as all get out……👊🏻

To be safe I removed the 14 sites that I found with similar markings. I examined very closely, I don’t see any poops or eggs on the bottom side. I can’t find anything that indicates bugs at the moment. I did increase the light around a week ago, I’m not sure if it’s related. It didn’t strike me as the beginning of a light issue or deficiency but I wasn’t sure. I really appreciate your insight bro and I’ll keep you updated.

yeah I’m not really seeing any nutritional issues either. You know, always refer to the last thing you changed before an issue popped up, but in this case I’m not really seeing any heat related stress signs, so I’m with you homie, keep an eye on the underside of leaves and monitor. I’ve seen outdoor instances where thrips come, do damage and move on, but in indoor instances I would find that hard to see. Super stoked you are not finding signs of life.

That does look like thrip damage but I wouldnt panic or treat until a bug is identified. What’s weird is I had a straw guava kinda do this after I got it but it grew out of it.
Keep inspecting especially undersides stay on high alert. Do you have any sticky traps? If you have the stickies they will get stickies on them and easier to identify.

Defenitly look on the undersides I had exact markings with thrips, look on the leaf bottoms with a microscope even under 50-70x there tiny so really look good I used a 3 day regimen of caption jacks deadbug 2 days apart per spray and they where gone, now I do that same spray 3x before I flip to flower every time

3x sprays like I said knocked them out and no recurrence since

Had to dig through my grow log to find these but I got em lol

If I get rid of the infected leaves am I ok? Kinda scared now that I’m in flower that they’re going to suffer. So confused where the f they came from

I would leave them. Damage is negligible at this point.

Sometimes, it’s as simple as dormant eggs in Any number of soil Amendments really. It’s a bummer, but it happens.

Maybe hitched a ride in from your outdoor grow? I’m weird and have to shower and change 3 times before going from my outdoor to indoor lol

yeah look a lot like thrips, still wound seem a bit large thrips usually leaves lot of smaller wound as well and wound doesnt seem to be spread as equally on the leaf as thrips usually do so may be also if not thrips some kind of genetic issue.

i had some thrips a few time pure spinosad diluted always solved it for me, here some photo of a rather late infestation for reference:

Yeah my buddy who’s no longer here on the forum recommended spinosad for my excessive fungus gnat problem. He said it wiped out his thrip issues completely.

Not sure how available it is in Mexico though, pretty sure it’s hard to buy in Canada with the restrictions they have

I had thrips twice when I first started back growing. Each time I had them, the leaves were spotted yellow very close together and I could clearly see them and the eggs with a zoom picture on the backside of the leaf. I checked every leaf I took off and I couldn’t find one piece of evidence of a thrip. That is why I was assuming it wasn’t bug related. I’m kind of hoping if it was them, that they’re gone.

Buying any kind of pesticide is damn near impossible to get here, they’re not about it here
