THE TRAINWRECK. Brought to you by thcfarrmer…..

Just try it with no charcoal lighter. I admit charcoal done right is the best, but cast iron does wonders on a gas range. I realize as a guy from the northeast my opinion is shit when compared to someone from Texas and one day will visit the great state...

Nl#5 updates. I am guessing they like the light increase. Middle and rear have been praying all day. I raised it slightly for them but they better get used to it because it’s coming down.

I was turned off of charcoal due to a stepfather who was impatient with his charcoal grill, everything had a lighter fluid aftertaste 😂, I know done right it’s the best. I pan sear my meat in a cast iron pan over a gas burner and then almost always cool for ten minutes under a stainless steel mixing bowl before serving. Next time I cook a steak I will post pictures that’ll stimulate the appetite quicker than a joint to the head……
Same way I do it the sear is amazing

Somewhere on this site there was a post of ethyl gas creating something magical. I don’t have such a gas but have ethyl alcohol so figured I needed to clean anyway, will apply broalogy and maybe there’s gases? 🤣

Are you using the ac infinity controller as well or just the unit? You can adjust to calibrate in the settings
It’s on a thermostat of its own on the humidifier with a probe. Even if I were to move it to the controller that sensor determines what is going on and how to proceed. If you got two sensors telling you different things? Time to figure out who’s wrong.

If I had to choose which one was closer without the proper instruments to determine for sure, I’d be inclined to go with the controller’s sensor. I have SensorPush sensors for my greenhouses and I’ve put them next to all 3 of my controller pro sensors and they have all agreed very nicely. I don’t have an acinifinity humidifer to know how that one’s sensor would compare..

Ok so here is a handy one for you, this is my style of curing jar. I prefer wide mouth ball jars. It’s nice because the lids are interchangeable with smaller jars. So a cheap pack of hygrometers, be sure that the temperature reading capabilities are located on the back or bottom of the device. Cut the lid cap for the hygrometer, and putty in with artist clay. I use that because I can pop the hydrometer out of the lid with ease, if my crop is large I like to use them in the lids of larger sterilite bins as well. That makes them a non permanent fixture. I hope this gives some of y’all an idea or two. It’s nice staking them on their sides. It makes it easier to see if you have to burp them. 👊🏻🤡
Just picked up some clay for this project! I plan to first test them against my sensor push sensors to decide if I should add or subtract to their displayed values. I got one dud out of a 12 pack and one that seems to think it’s special. All in all I’m happy with the level of consistency. That’s a promising start.

They were 2 off and sometimes even. The 5 degrees seems excessive .

I've bought 2 different sets from 2 different suppliers.......garbage!!!!!!!!!

I hope you have better luck than I!!!!!!

When you are to cheap to buy a clip on fan lol. I copied someone I seen using hangers on the corners of their tent to make a little more room. The fan happens to sit right there. (Update on the stinky smell… think it was just the top dressing I added that smelled like wet ass). Doesn’t seem to be root rot. From here on out I’m watering slow and not watering until I see a slight wilt .

That's how I light mine, now that I live in Colorado. The elevation and thinner air here you have to use way too much lighter fluid to get the charcoal to light. So instead I just use random pieces of wood and start a small wood fire under my charcoals to get them all nice and evenly lit.

Then, before I finish cooking and pull the meat off, I put the cover over the grill and shut the vents to suffocate the coals for the last few minutes and "lock in" a little extra smoke flavor to the meat. Everyone always loves my grillin' 🤠
