do you live alone in the house? is there a woman who lives there with you? if there is a young woman (teenager) who lives there or a woman in her 40's, early 50's? or maybe someone who has just gone through a tragic event? then you could be experiencing poltergiest activity. that usually happens when a young woman who is sexually maturing (puberty) or when an older woman is going through menopause is experiencing drastic changes in her life. they can create poltergiest activity without even knowing it. i am not an expert in the paranormal but i did some research on it in college. you could try a few things, take a sifter and sift flower all over the floor down there and look for foot prints or signs of presence. if you see footprints then you can identify the spirit, male/female/child. you can get a digital voice recorder and ask the spirit some questions and you can sometimes hear responses that our ears neglect to hear. that way you can see what the spirit is there for. also go to your local town office or city municipal building and ask the city clerk for property records for your house, you can then cross reference that with death certicificates and see if anyone died in the house and when. lastly if you find what you are looking for then you can visit the grave of the deceased and put some flowers on the grave or anything to try and make peace with the spirit. you may want to do your research before doing EVP work that way you have a name to use. spirits respond much better when their names are used
