I dislike watching instructional home-made videos.
I understand everything you just typed because...I do everything you just typed and noticed it watching back lol. Feedback is good because now I know at least one person saw what I saw. When I make videos they're not scripted I just talk. I did good with some of my videos like the Root Rot one, straight and to the point. I don't know how else to record without exposing myself tho. As far as typing a book, I tried that, I'm defiantly not a book writer because I can't type what I do and make sense.
I don’t prep my medium at all.
Fertilome soil ina pot.
That’s it.
All the simple. I don’t use ppfd dli vpd at all. I read my plants. Best of luck!
So I'm a brand new grower, what soil? Just anything from walmart? Drop the seed on top of the soil or an inch deep? Is the soil wet? When do I water? After I get the seed in the dirt what do I do? Just sit and watch it grow? Is it really that easy?

'All the simple,' Thats what I'm talking about! Above  and in regards to VPD etc.

What I'm after is setting a fundamental foundation. After you get the seed sowed and it starts growing its pretty much simply sitting back and watching the plants grow till you come to certain checkpoints like 'in 30 days I flip to flower and start monitoring my humidity.' But what about how you PH your water to feed? How do you keep your PH balanced through the grow? But you're not interested anymore...

I don’t ph either bro. none of that.
I run seed starter trays. I up pot depending on vigor incrementally. I practice 3-4 days wet dry cycles and NEVER water to runoff.
It’s not that I’m not interested here. I’m just saying as far as getting in-depth about it, I use 2 solubles and cal mag when needed. Sorry you are catching that vibe. Alls well here. 👍🏻

A guide to reading plants might be one of the most beneficial things in the world

If you know the basic signs of stress
You always have some kind of idea how to move forward

Man i have stood in many situations where i thought growing wasnt my thing

You can give as much advice as you want and people might follow it blindly without thinking too much about it

But what if you get a picky strain
And it start to act up
How do you know its not a ph issue
Or buildup or light stress
It could be anything

But to move past this issue you gotta learn to look at a plant and consider what you might have done wrong

I dont know a single beginner capable of this and i would have given my left nut for such knowledge when i first started out

Just an idea hope you will consider it🤟😄

Youre growing organic?

Haha no probs😄
Is it the bud candy from Advanced nutrients you use?
And can you recommend it
never really looked that way but maybe i should 🤟
Oh I do toss some big bud on top that is from AN
Hang on

This too

Sorry sweet candy

And the no runoff deal whats up with that just feeding whats in the soil?
and switching between pure water and feeding to prevent buildup?

Sorry im asking so many questions its just interesting really want to expand my knowledge

You don't even know how difficult that is. I have tried something like that kinda, taking pics of errs I make or things that happen because I'm lazy. Purposely running hella high or low PH and taking pics to show others what it looks like. Pics of light burn, calmag deficiencies. @Captspaulding mentioned reading your plants, he uses his nose too. That's stuff that becomes instinct over time.

Another problem with that is the confusion from different inputs. There are books that seem to contradict my opinions of plant problems. I can say to fix the PH but the deficiency chart says the plant needs Boron, or maybe copper. If the plant was PHd properly they wouldn't be asking 'whats wrong with my plant?' Nutrient lines are made with everything a plant needs with the exception of cal/mag (in most cases). Not all nutes are tailored specifically for the calmag hungry weed so we need a wee bit more. No worries tho, simply upping the Micro nutrients a touch does the trick. But people make it difficult, buying more products and overdosing calmag when they only need a little bit. Now they got more problems.

The purpose of making growing tutorials is to eliminate problems so new growers don't run into them. We've been growing weed indoors for 50 years, you may not see many problems in this forum but out in the wild the bad info runs rampant, tons of people can't figure out how to grow.

Nah bro, I feed nutrients every time.
The only thing I ever do, is maybe cut a watering can in half with just water if I’m nearing any surplus. And the watering to run off was always counter productive for me, I check pot weights after a feed and go off of that. Runoff interferes with my wet dry cycles. They are four days like clockwork. The way I do it, and legit, this applies to all pot sizes but 1gs, they get demanding

Bruh, you're not that entertaining for me to catch vibes nor feelz. We're good! You're actually easy to deal with.

But you're saying exactly what I'm wanting! 'Screw all the crap...this is how you do it right from the start and coast to victory. Cake!'

Some folks need more cow bell....
Some need more Cal-Mag....

Looking forward to seeing what you guys come out with

I get your point but i mean people will eventually find out how things work looking back at myself i was an idiot thought i was master gardener when i first started out
now im still a beginner but im coming along

And you can’t eliminate problems i mean you can but if they wasnt there people wouldn’t learn

This all soil, that has a 4month grow through it. I strained and removed the chunks and pick through it for the strands of prior roots. Up potted into those they love it. It’s just a balance of elements like a nuclear reactor. A dance of beauty when it’s all dialed in.

Dont get it but it’s impressive😂🤟
So you water with nutrients every time and figure what every single plant needs after you have read it?

Proof is in the pudding man. Yeah homie.
So this is how I run my nutritional application.
Mega crop fert 35 grams per 10 gallons every 4th day.
A flick of cal mag
In flower right around 2nd week I like to start ramping in the p&k. As follows
50-60 grams mega crop per 10 gallons. Every 4th day
30grams sweet candy
1 teaspoon of big bud powder
Maybe some cal mag…..
That is basically it besides loading the plants up with those sweet rays from the lights.
If a cultivar starts getting anywhere near a tox of any kind, I cut the watering can by 1/3rd or 1/2. My watering can is about half a gallon.
I never water to runoff. I’m old school, I use a 3 way probe to check ppfd when laying out my lights, but I had someone ask what it was set at. So I check real fast.
I know those probes suck, but it is so damned close to Photone, I use it because I’ve dropped my phone and broken limbs and branches by accident. This way I have a wand basically.

people will eventually find out how things work
Yeah but it doesn't have to be like that for 99%. 1% being the guys that sit quietly figuring it out themselves.

The problem with winging it is people expect to do well and if not they can simply jump online, without searching, and post looking for help that's been answered a million (and counting) times lol.

Then everyone wants to help, most with good intentions but provide bad info. That gets cooperated by others and people think they found the fix. Then people like me say the opposite and the next thing ya know I got a first time grower quoting influencers and providing links to bad information to prove me wrong.

It's tuff helping people in the weed world. It's why skilled people don't help, the few ruin it for everyone else.
