That looks like an excellent light. @HerbalEdu won't steer you wrong. I also recommend a controller for the light (and other devices). You'll need to schedule when the light is on and off. During the vegetation stage, it's common to run the light on an 18/6 schedule — 18 hours on and 6 hours off. The power is also increased into the flowering stage.

One of the challenges of inside growing is vertical space, i.e., the distance from the plant to the light. These plants can grow tall and it's best to have about 18 inches between the top of the plant (at harvest) and the light. You'll need to keep that in mind as you plan your grow. A rough estimate is to change the light to flowering schedule when the plant crowns are 1/3 the distance from the soil to the light. These plants can double their height within two weeks of the light schedule change. It's known as "the stretch."

That should be plenty. I only grow three plants at a time for just the two of us, and we still give some of it away. I usually get about 4 ounces per plant. Right now, I have three that are ready to flower and two clones that I'll probably grow outsi

@Marlie also if they were planted 2/5 and they are not already flowering they are most prolly photoperiods seeds wich mean you gonna need to switch the light schedule from 18/6 to 12/12 when you want to flower them what's important is 12 hours of uninterupted night time to start to flower, this could be achieved with a tent or diy cupboard/closet, or a room dedicated to flowering plants.

then when you start having a small closed environnement the next big thing is a passive air intake and an extractor to renew the air and evacuate heat and humidity.

they are looking good but you'r gonna need a proper light to get decent results when flowering. Not one from a shadowy chineese led manufacturer you'll find on amazon and ali express they rarely advertise on the true wattage of their led fixtures ...
Listen to this cat 👆👆👆👆👆.
He def won’t steer you wrong

Wing and a prayer was my plan. 🤦🏽‍♀️ I’d love some guidance. These were planted 2/5. Fox Farms soil, super cheap Amazon LED lights and a red LED. Truly no clue what I’m doing but open to any and all feedback! Thanks in advance and happy Friday eve!
Utilizing space wisely.

Just ask a lot of questions for sure

I have all VIVOSUN products, they are a US based company out in Cali but im unaware if they manufacture in the US or just have the business here. Im a new grower so not much experience with them but after talking about my kit and posting it no one has really said anything negative about it.
They definitely do not manufacture in the USA.

I'm very cautious about purchasing from them, they straight up false advertise the VS series of lights. I pointed it out to them and they said oh the advertisement is old, we will update it. They still not have updated anything to this day. They took the VS lights with top diodes and then lowered the quailty a couple years later but advertise the specs as the same.

Customer Service experience has also been bad, they will try anyway possible to not honor the warranty and just stop replying to messages.

My experience so I thought I would share, will say the 2 VS4000 I have still grow good bud.

Ventilation and Customer Service, AC Infinity is the best IMO

To the OP:
Be careful with the fan in the middle of the Aerolight, can be to much for some plants blowing right on top. Idk if the app had the ability but if you have the actual controller, you can shut the fan on the light off.

About nutrients...
Fox Farms soil
Which soil is it? It's probably either Happy Frog or Ocean Forest. The soil you're using will determine which nutrients to use and when to use them.

IMO, organic nutrients like Gaia Green General Purpose and Power Bloom are good to start growing. It's what I use, along with some amendments. They also work well with Fox Farm's soil.

I have this soil and bought these nutrients per someone’s recommendation.

I use the fox farm ocean forest soil, I mix it 50/50 with fox farm Happy frog soils.

I've not used the rapid start myself.

General Hydroponics Flora Micro, Gro, and Bloom along with CALiMAGic are easy and simple nutrients that a lot of people use. I'm sure you will get other recommendations for nutrients but if you decide on the Flora series, this feed chart is a good one to follow IMO.

That’s great thank you!!
No problem!

If you use Fox Farm soils in future photoperiod grows, I recommend the Happy Frog to start your seeds in and starting them in small cups like solo cups with drainage hole cut in the bottom. You can always switch or mix soils when you transplant from smaller containers.

It's awesome seeing someone come here to learn and seeing everyone in the forum come together to help you!

Good luck on your journey, will definitely be looking for updates!
