Hey folks! Been a little slow around these parts : ) I know everybody is tending to their gardens and enjoying the summer weather.

I got a question for all the pepper people!! What does this leaf curl mean(first pic) and did the leaf get chomped off!?(second pic) (third pic has a bug lookin thing on it) I just sprayed them with some fungicide mite stuff 🤷🏼‍♂️ thanks in advance!!!

@Mikedin. Other than the obvious what are your thoughts on the curl? Could they have just gotten to much sun to early on? The watering I feel is pretty decent. I didnt realize the pic of the bugs was so bad 🤦‍♂️. Not a rush just thought I would pick your brain for pepper knowledge : )

Hey y’all! Threads been quiet lately : ) I know, gardens and shit lol! Hope everybody’s gardens are kickin ass and making fruits/veggies! I ran out of funds for more soil for my beds. So Im going to run with this years set up and make it work. I’ll have the winter to build and construct! : ) im saving the money for soil, im going to throw all my clones for the next indoor run outside and see what I can get.

I do have a question for you pepper people, do you top your peppers like you do your cannabis?

Urine is a fantastic fertilizer and has been used for thousands of years. Its very nitrogen heavy though.
I have used urine. It definitely works!! Many moons ago we used to put plants in the woods. Creek water and pissy creek water were about all we gave them.

Small pepper varieties like to be topped but large peppers like bell peppers do not enjoy it so much.

Hey Snappy!😀👋 thought I would start to warm up the thread for the season : ) hope you had a great winter and new year!

got these cut and put in my DIY cloner this afternoon! I have zero clue what im doing right here and have zero research as to if itll work this way but here goes hahaha!

I scraped the bottom of the stems as you would for cannabis. no cloning gel. pump running 24/7. water temp is cooler, I may stick the heating mat under the tray the tub sits on. and spraying every so often the cuttings tops with plain water. OH! and I mix a larger amount of h2O2 in the cloning water daily! : )

Well another winter has come and gone! Summer is upon us and the outdoor gardens are hitting full stride! Not sure where you are Snappy but where it is i hope youre doing well and youre kicking life in the balls! : )

Was able to expand on the front yard garden a bit. Finished my cut log planter! Had about half full of soil from last years purchase (growers mix) and was able to fill the rest in this spring! I kinda wanted to get it into my pots for the backyard patch but i had made plans to get the front planter filled first : ) upper management had been pressing pretty hard on completion dates! Hahaha! I was able to make the patch work though with some pre ran (growers mix) from my indoor runs and some cheep stuff from a discount landscape place : ) living soil here we come LOL!

So anyways if you gottem and feel like sharing lets see’m! 🤩 emphasis on the “soil” 😆 trying to get this stuff i have as alive as possible! 😃✌️

pics taken late morning today : )

That sure is beautiful @BearWater reminds me of when i had to deal with partial shaded gardens.
Thanks Gal! 🤩 yeah the front yard is totally partial shad but does get a little more than the back yard. i have got some tomatoes and lettuce to grow in the back! we were going to do a little garden back there as well but I pulled the dad card and put some pot out there instead hahaha!🤣 im hoping the drip line and soil and nutrients help things out this year : )
❤️✌️

Snappy hasnt been around for a while, but i figured id keep his thread alive as it was a pretty fun garden/soil spot to talk shop and share more traditional gardens😆. miss you snappy!❤️🤗

Heres some front yard garden happenings! got a couple native bushes and built some more planters. had some lumber from a project i took a part and got a put back together as a couple more planters. have to wait for soil though🤣

Cool to see this thread active. Getting the season started finally. Planted 2 cherry trees this spring and built 2 4×4 raised beds around them. Planted Comfrey, bee balm, and a pollinator friendly cover crop. Also some Milkweed for the Monarchs. Here lately I have gotten into planting native flowers and plants that support local wildlife instead of Roses and exotics. Have 30 tomato plants started, lot of work needed to get the veggie garden ready. Greenhouse looks empty and waiting to be filled with this seasons cannabis crop.

Yeah not sure what happened to Snappy, but I always like this thread for the gardening : )

Nice spot! And awesome piles! I have a little pile of stuff I toss everything garden lol! Don’t really have the space to do a legit pile, more trying to just get some decent top dress for around.

I love all the natural pollinators and the flowers they like. I’m late to get the seeds out there but I can water all summer to keep things going. Some of the wild flowers though, it just gets to hot.

I'm never too old to learn and today I learned about Potato Leaf tomato morphology. Some heirlooms can harbor the genes recessively. So now where I thought my Beefsteak seed pack screwed me over, nope, I was just too ignorant to know what I was looking at.

We were looking at some plants yesterday and noticed some Brandywine plants which I’ve never grown and my wife said “those look like those things that are supposed to be Beefsteaks” yup they do. So the hunt for info was on.
