@Mikedin. Other than the obvious what are your thoughts on the curl? Could they have just gotten to much sun to early on? The watering I feel is pretty decent. I didnt realize the pic of the bugs was so badHey folks! Been a little slow around these parts : ) I know everybody is tending to their gardens and enjoying the summer weather.
I got a question for all the pepper people!! What does this leaf curl mean(first pic) and did the leaf get chomped off!?(second pic) (third pic has a bug lookin thing on it) I just sprayed them with some fungicide mite stuffthanks in advance!!!View attachment 2182552View attachment 2182553View attachment 2182554
I have used urine. It definitely works!! Many moons ago we used to put plants in the woods. Creek water and pissy creek water were about all we gave them.Urine is a fantastic fertilizer and has been used for thousands of years. Its very nitrogen heavy though.
Small pepper varieties like to be topped but large peppers like bell peppers do not enjoy it so much.Hey y’all! Threads been quiet lately : ) I know, gardens and shit lol! Hope everybody’s gardens are kickin ass and making fruits/veggies! I ran out of funds for more soil for my beds. So Im going to run with this years set up and make it work. I’ll have the winter to build and construct! : ) im saving the money for soil, im going to throw all my clones for the next indoor run outside and see what I can get.
I do have a question for you pepper people, do you top your peppers like you do your cannabis?
Thanks Gal!That sure is beautiful @BearWater reminds me of when i had to deal with partial shaded gardens.
Yeah not sure what happened to Snappy, but I always like this thread for the gardening : )Cool to see this thread active. Getting the season started finally. Planted 2 cherry trees this spring and built 2 4×4 raised beds around them. Planted Comfrey, bee balm, and a pollinator friendly cover crop. Also some Milkweed for the Monarchs. Here lately I have gotten into planting native flowers and plants that support local wildlife instead of Roses and exotics. Have 30 tomato plants started, lot of work needed to get the veggie garden ready. Greenhouse looks empty and waiting to be filled with this seasons cannabis crop.View attachment 2625517View attachment 2625518View attachment 2625519View attachment 2625520View attachment 2625521
What i love about growing anything, is there is always the soil biology, but the plant biology!?I'm never too old to learn and today I learned about Potato Leaf tomato morphology. Some heirlooms can harbor the genes recessively. So now where I thought my Beefsteak seed pack screwed me over, nope, I was just too ignorant to know what I was looking at. View attachment 2625724
We were looking at some plants yesterday and noticed some Brandywine plants which I’ve never grown and my wife said “those look like those things that are supposed to be Beefsteaks” yup they do. So the hunt for info was on.
