it works well enough, about as well as any other single all encompassing dry nutrient. It's just really hard to make a good, all encomasing single formula, because so many things the plants want, if you are going synthetic feed routes, are reactive together. This is the origin of the good ole 3 part lineup everyone used to start with, whether fox farm, GH flora, botanicare, whatever lmao. You could get a much fuller, all bases covered package with a multi part.
She was using the all purpose, and good luck taking a plant through flower with that stuff lmao. its like 28-8-10 or something absurd like that. Ok for veg, if used lightly.
If you mix different ratios of their all purpose, bloom booster, and vege/tomato water soluable feed, you can do very well with miracle grow, you just have to make sure you prevent soil acidification through salt build ups (flush often) and give a good long thorough flush before harvest. Just about ay 3 part on the market will out perform it, but it can work just fine.
Thats what i was going to have this friend do if she wouldnt come off the miracle grow. But i think ive got her a simple partially organic regiment put together from the home depot's inventory by her, which was what her only prerequisite/line drawn ended up being ("Im not going to multiple stores for plant stuff" lol)
As long as your soil is half decent you can take a cannabis plant of any size through flower with just kelp and a good PK feed. Shell be using whatever brand kelp home depot has and Alaska More Bloom lol. compared to all purpose miracle grow, night and day difference, literally overnight, but thats mainly because the plant's going into flower and the NPK ratios just went way more appropriate.
My big issue with miracle grow personally, is that the company does not disclose to the consumer that their dollars are going to Monsanto, they actually try and hide it. Scotts too. Thats the root of the cannabis world's hatred for MG too so far as im aware. As a fertilizer, its fine. It works good, you just gotta watch for salt build up in container with it. I used it all the time as a broke teenager with no rides anywhere. They sell it at dollar general lmao.
^Yet another unpopular *truth* to speak though lmao.
P.S. Botanicare is also owned by Monsanto now, and i know they've been trying to buy GH too. Their name isn't Monsanto anymore either they changed it to avoid consumer backlash as they acquired more companies under their umbrella. Idr what it is right off hand though lol. I also forget which one's, but some of the yard equipment manufacturers are under their corporate umbrella now too.
My current run I’m playing around with
12 gallon pot
27 TBS Gaia green 2-8-4
15 TBS Gaia green 4-4-4
4 cups earthworm castings
Gypsum
Epsom
Azomite
On top of that I’ve been feeding the fox farms trio part 2&3 micro and bloom, 3ml micro and 7ml bloom per gallon of water (but under half dose rating) once per week, between that they’ll get the OG organics tea and a shot of cal mag even though the micro and bloom have it in it already, so far no discoloration no nitrogen tox, no fading or burnt tips just happy stacking, just seeing how they react to the added synthetics on top of my normal feed is interesting the stacking is much heavier as well,
Now l, the cman x okie 1 gal plant I used the same amendment ratios but added kelp meal and fish bone meal and will only water with the OG organics tea and any organic teas I make and see how she likes it but I plan to keep her organic and play with ratios then repeat with the 1 gallon plant and see what i can improve without the synthetics
