OmgTook another pic of the Afghan, and it's amazing how much better it looks than all the others.

Thanks. We got hammered with high winds and heavy rains here too. I hope the damage isn’t to extreme on your plants
I stole your idea and took a ladder pic of my Bruce Banner. So far the best way to get a good shot of these bigger plants.I hesitate to say I have a bright spot in the garden.
My Afgan Outdoor looks beautiful. (so far)
So uniform and resistant to disease. On the ladder to take a pic of the top.
I probably should put a net over it.

Oh no for heavens sake what the hell? How i loved the nature at my old place but i do not want to deal with this sort of trouble anymore. I'm so sorry about your memory tree what a shame and it's friggin summer, we don't see this till winter here. Boy you folks have it rough in your area. It's great to have loads of neighborly help when bad parts of nature strikes.Just finished cleaning up the top of a 60 foot spruce tree that broke off last night.
Sad 'cause I planted it as a seedling 45 years ago.

Me, crying as white powdery mildew looks to be on all my bigs settled overnight, and only have 6 plants in total. I may have half of one by the finish line.I love morals of stories! Hang in there, sister! That’s why we grow so many!
Without all the branches there's more air flow right? Gotta look at the bright side.I love morals of stories! Hang in there, sister! That’s why we grow so many!
You can spray your girls to keep it in check. You'll have to ask the more experienced here, but there is hope!Me, crying as white powdery mildew looks to be on all my bigs settled overnight, and only have 6 plants in total. I may have half of one by the finish line.

I had the same thing happen to me yesterday. If the branches are still connected, you can put a little honey on the break (if you want to) and wrap/tape it up. I’ve had great success doing this. The plants in the back did survive for the most part. There were broken branches and we lost 1 plant.
I also have 1 falling over in the extras that I haven't decided whether to try to save. The two I propped up last time did not fair well and I had to cull them anyways.
Moral of the story boys and girls. Tie the damn branches up early, just in case.
