Yeah they should include them in their bullshit recruitment commercials 🤣 "Be All You Can Be, And Wake Up In A Pool Of Sweat And Panic Every Night For The Rest Of Your Life!" 🤣

It's a bad time of year for me, too. Seems like everything bad that's ever happened to me or in my life, happened in the Fall. Lost close friends/"battle buddies," shit I don't wanna talk about in Iraq/Afghanistan, every time I got arrested/went to jail was in the Fall, etc. Etc.

Then I get seasonal depression going into winter. Luckily, in my part of CO, we get, on average, about 335 days of sunshine per year, so that helps BIG TIME with the seasonal depression. At least it's not like Chicago where I was born/raised. It just turns gray and shitty from October till April. Fuck the midwest 🤣 no offense if you like it but I'll keep my mountains and sunshine 👊 🤠
Thanks for sharing that shit dude! Probably isn’t the easiest thing, then again it might help! I never understood the whole ptsd thing until recently (a couple years ago). Im not a veteran but went through some shit with my family that was pretty scary (our entire community had a fire rip through it) everyone up here is different because of it, it’s really sad. I hope you’re able to find bits and pieces of calm and tranquility!

Now seasonal depression sucks! but im a weirdo so I get all stoked for fall and winter! 😂 and no offense taken about the Midwest! Im from cali man! My heart breaks every time i talk to my wife about moving out of this state. It’s beautiful here, but like I said im weird, and things are beginning to get weirder than me so it’s time to move on : / So in the meantime I look forward to my home owners insurance not getting dropped, and gas being below 4 dollars!😂

Quick non post day update on the GMOxOkie after topping and feeding, she looks good. Almost looks like some noticeable growth! : ) maybe hahaha! It could just be there’s no top anymore and makes the two off shoots look taller🤔😂 im going with noticeable growth! Yep!

I don't ph anything either, haven't seen a need to in the soil I've used anyways, I would have to buy the test meters and everything as well.
With synthetics, I don't do any of that mix a nutrient and let it sit for an hour and then use it right away like some do. My nutrients get mixed and it might sit for 5 minutes or 4 days lol.
Yeah when I run synthetics (FF grow / micro / bloom) i run 3ml micro 8ml bloom / gal water and never had an issue, yeah I mean if I do the full 8-12 or whatever the micro recommends and the 10-15ml or whatever the bloom says yeah my ph would brobably be 5.5, it I wouldn’t feed my plants even close to that much

@Mikedin, nice root mass. How close is that fabric pot to a true (US) gallon?

I still need to find a final container for mine. I am a little reluctant on fabric this small, because I cannot always be there everyday to water, and worry about too much dry back Do the gorilla bags have the plastic liners on sides?
They are true 1 gal pots, if you fill to the top lip they are like 1.3gal I’m about an inch - inch and a half below grommet ring, so probably 3” down from the top lip which should be just at a gallon

I bourght them spesifically for this comp, still have 3 more, if she runs real nice in there I may pick up a few more so I can use 6 of them, but kinda between those and 3 gals

Im in 3 gallons right now for my current run, they still seem so big! But man if I went any lower id have to be watering every other day… drip system may be in my future! 😂

My 5 gal buckets got watered every 36 hours in late flower, my 12 gallon fabric pots go 3-4 days early veg, 2-3 days late veg, 2-3 days early flower, 1-1.5 days (36 hours just like the 5’s) late flower and I was watering 2 gallons per pot (max I could get in without any runoff doing slow waterings) big girls big appetites I found when you scale up you really don’t save anything, you’re just growin on a bigger scale 🤣 bigger pots = bigger plants = bigger needs = BIGGER BUDS 😜

12 gallon fabric pot, 3 day waterings atm, and her root ball is just getting spread out in there she’s only been in here a week or so, she was in a Gaia green bucket before that for 6 months 🤣 yeah I was watering her every time I looked at her 🤣

But once she fills in I’m sure she’ll be the same every 24-36 hours max

Ps that PH meter right there is the only one I own, wether I’m running 1 plant or 10 it gets out in one pot and stays there the whole run, I don’t give a shit what it says as long as it dosent swing, it’s at about 6.8ph as long as I don’t see a big quick swing I don’t even care where it settles, microbes take care of that for the plants actual uptake

Oh and this is reused re amended peat from the cali blues indoor run, she finished healthy, so figured I’d test re amending promix so far, she loves it and is greening up, she was under 60w with the light 2” from her tops for those 6 months I kept cutting her back to save height, finally lettin her go

Gotta figure the cman x okie tester in the half gal gets watered every 2 days, water only since up pot, I mixed 2 tbs Gaia green 2-8-4* into a liter of water I fed her a few weeks back, she’s in her 50’s now 1/2 gallon pot, restricted roots, all organic, no PHing, Rick solid buds massive limonene terps kickin up, got that fresh baked stone in the background, all I’m thinking is lemon squares

She’s got some yellowing, but I expect that around now, no leaves have died or fell off none are limp all upright and kickin all that’s telling me is her nitrogen is fading out right when I want it to

Mannnn I’m wrecking this discussion topic 🤣

Here im worried about watering a one gal as im also doing the Christmas tree solo 😂 might just have to move out into the shed for all this watering! 😂 im really glad I went with 3 gal. I feel like if I hone my skills i can really utilize them. The 7 I had were just too big for my liking. But im too much slacker to get anything really going in less than 3gal! 😂

Been seeing this “pro mix” stuff mentioned an awful lot around here! Might have to give it a shot when I get tired of spinning my wheels with what im doing right now hahaha!

I honestly think 3 gallon is the perfect size for indoors and see no reason to use anything bigger. 3 gallon is large enough to grow photoperiods indoors and veg just as long as you would with 5 gallons but small enough to add a few extra plants to the tent compared to 5 gallon. Plus you use a little more then half of the medium you would in a 5 gallon, you could fill 5 of the 3 gallon compared to filling only 3 of the 5 gallon.

HEARD! 😍 maximization, I’ve seen what some of the small container growers can do! I just like the “buffer” if you will, of the little larger (3 gal vs smaller). I feel like it gives me a little time to deal with life and the plants lol!

My 1 gallon challenge plant is my first time using Pro-Mix HP-M and it's by far superior to anything I've used before.
The watering caught me off guard though. I thought it had better drainage and dried out faster but I watered 1.25 quarts and tomorrow will be 12 days since I've watered and it's just about dry now and time to water again lol. I'm not complaining though, I thought watering was going to be a lot for me, especially in a 1 gallon Air Pot.

If you can find Pro-Mix local or cheap shipping, it actually ends up being cheaper then Fox Farm Ocean Forest for me. I thought Pro-Mix was more before but I just bought a 2.8 cf bag of it and it was $39.75 shipped. FF Ocean Forest is $20 for the 1.5 cf bag so 2 would be 3.0 and with tax $42.80.
Pro-Mix ends up being $14.20 per cf
Ocean Forest ends up being $14.26 per cf

I watched this earlier when you posted like 5 times and then had to come back to it right now! At least 5 times! It’s F’n hilarious! The other dudes reactions really ties it all together!!😂😂 are they playing Magic?

This one gallon challenge has me thinking that many 1 gallon pots is the way to go ✌️💨

thanks for mathing all that! : ) I really want to give this stuff a shot! I like the soil I have been getting I just dont think its quite the indoor set up im looking for (now that im digging my feet in a little you know?) I like the idea of more frequent waterings (nutes also), but waiting almost 2 weeks would drive me insane lol! I think I had a 14 day period in between waterings my last run 🤪 I thought I messed up or something😂 I would definitely add perlite to promix per what I was reading over in GNicks thread (Mikedin was sharing also he adds perlite).

It looked like it had a decent amount in it but I guess not lol. Idk if I'll add more perlite when I do the Autos, I'll be using a SIP so idk how much the perlite would help.
Another nice thing about Pro-Mix is there isn't any nutrients in it, you have a blank slate to do whatever you want from the get go.

I would agree with synthetic nutrients. With living soil you need large pots. It’s ok to put multiple plants in each pot

I have only searched this stuff : ) could there be a difference in amount of perlite in the different mixes? I think you, GNick, and Mikedin are all use the different kinds hahaha!

Yeah man Im not sure either, I had to go look SIP up🫣😂 I can only speculate at this point what it would or wouldn’t do. Im tagging @Mikedin to get his opinion if he feels like giving it : )

What is your concern with adding perlite? I'm curious about your thinking is in relation to using a self watering system.

I think he ment more “ how is it going to make a difference” that was my interpretation: )

Ill let him answer for himself though😂
