I do have a question about my drying bud. I'm watching it closely to make sure it isn't molding. Temp is fine in the room. Can't get my humidity up though, even with my window open. It is sitting at 48%. Anywhooooo, I'm watching it closely. When I look at it with my loupe, I'm seeing insects. Some are alive. Yes, I used baking soda, citric, and h202, and rinsed from washing buds. Is this normal? Do I need to do something else?

Do you have a good screen for that open window? I would guess the little buttholes are getting in through there. But who knows.... bugs are resilient little things

No holes in my screen. They look like they've been comfortable for awhile too. No clue what they are. No clue if all my other jarred stuff had any because I wasn't studying it like these. Gross. And also, I don't want them to destroy all that is hanging.

Jack' deadbug on my drying flower? Yikes. That sounds scary, but if it works and won't harm me or the bud, I have the spray. I may try a cotton ball with alcohol at the bottom of the jar and placing buds in the jar and closing it for a few minute. Who knows. Hopefully someone can offer more advice. I don't want my bud to be trashed. This may be normal. I have no idea.

I always see a few bugs when I’m trimming! And chopped a few worms in half! Never amounted to anything! Not much you can do about it unless you want to try washing them again. I wouldn’t spray anything on them. Other than Water! If you’re using jars once you cut off their air supply, they should succumb! Hopefully you don’t have some giant infestation!

Yea that was a mega quick search online, after about 30 seconds of reading it i knew that was a bad idea lol dont mind the noob 😅

Hopefully they don't trash my flowers. Goodness. Thought after washing, my worries of the outdoor shits were gone. Not so much.

General shape of an aphid! If they are few and far between, I don’t think I’d worry much! You can always take them outside and hose them down and maybe knock some off! If you think there are enough to warrant that! I use the Groves and have never run into a problem down the line! Your call!

You hang first, then put in the groves, right? Sorry. Not familiar with the process. These were hung Sunday. I still have some time before they can be jarred. Although, they are drying faster than I'd like. I'd hate to wet them again, as I'm already worried about mold starting.

Each bud I've looked at has some on them. I have huge Mason jars. May do the cotton ball thing that I talked about. Freon would work too, I don't have any of that in my back pocket though.

In fact, I'd love to know if anyone knows if iso can harm the trichs, if it doesn't come in contact with them? I could put iso on a paper towel, place it at the bottom of a trash bag, holding the stems in my hand, closing the bag up around the stems, so the only fumes the insects can get is the iso at the bottom.

Hopefully someone has an answer. I'm doing this if no one replies telling me otherwise.

Yep! Hang until Down into the 60s then bag. Careful with the iso! Probably makes a difference whether it’s 25% or 99.9%. Maybe try a sample of bud first! ISO might be harder on the tri-combs than the bugs!

Okay. Just bought the boveda packs because 2 of my jars dropped to 50%. Those are headed back up after adding those packs. Other than that, I'm fine with the jars. If I run into issues or hate burping, I'll switch to the groves.

I know the iso is iffy, but it will never touch the plants. I use the iso fumes in jars to kill different types of insects. Takes a few seconds and they are dead. Like stinkbugs, hate squishing them because they feel gross and stick. Push them into a jar with iso, dead in seconds. You can use a jar with iso and remove a wasp nest this way too, just can't be an idiot.

How would I test this? I won't know if the fumes would harm my trichs or not. Plant material is too wet to test. Can you look at your trichs to know if they are being damaged by something? A before and after view of them using just one bud? I have 99.9% and low %, both.

just hold under room temp water for a few minutes add in a bit of peroxide

Uncharted territory for both of us! But the same iso in Riched atmosphere that kills the bugs could conceivably eat away at the tri-combs! I stick with Water! At this point! Whether it be hosing, dunking, Swishing, whatever! Will be interesting to watch and see how you do!

If I rewet these, and they mold, then what? I'm out 4-6 oz of smoke, I've been growing since May. I really don't want to rewet them. Not trying to be a pain in the ass either. I just don't want to trash my smoke. Really wished that I would've looked at the smoke that is curing. That could've been full of these too and I've smoked it. Ughhhhh. Indoor growing sounds even better than ever at this fucking point. JFC
