These guys are amazing! 😍🤣

Some of these environmental responses are incredibly smart. Normally tops will lean toward the light or the direction of the Sun. But when we get the Santa Ana Winds, I have a Durban Poison that turns all of it's tops to face the direction of the wind instead. Right now we are getting Sun from the South and those winds hit us from the North so it's weird to see one plant facing the opposite direction.
things like that i see mostly in land race lineages. Im seeing a bit of it in the maui crosses, and all the columbian lineage plants make intelligent moves when the environment changes. Durban is yet anoter sativa of direct land race origin, much like maui and the columbians. So that doesnt surprise me at all.

The intelligence of the plants comparing a land race to a highly inbred modern lineage is like comparing a timber wolf to a pug. Vigor and overall health/vitality/disease resistance tends to be affected in a similar way to their visible intelligence when distancing from inbreeding too. The intelligent movements and overall vigor are the first things that go out the window when you start backcrossing or inbreeding plants of the columbian lineages. Itll still pop up in some plants, but not nearly as frequent nor dramatic as when left a non inbred f1 lineage. It pops up in homogenous land races due to environmental pressure steering natural selection of the plants. but to keep it in crosses with other lineages in all the plants they have to stay pretty much entirely non inbred as far as ive been able to tell.

multi-generational non inbred F1s can actually develop intelligent traits many growers probably dont even realize are possible in these plants at all. Genetically diverse background and multiple phenotype expressions are good things. They often remind me of mimosas and acacias the way non inbred cannabis responds and interacts with it's environment. There is an unmistakable intelligence to these plants and it can easily be lost forever.

grrrrrrrrrrrrrr... i lost 2 1/2 days of time lapse for no apparent reason, it just quit recording on it's own without saving. i hope this isn't going to be an ongoing issue, as i have 2 more of the same camera coming today😣

*edit to add: @Mikedin, does this ever happen to you?
Only time I’ve had that happen was when my power glitched they don’t restart, at least they don’t for me. Did you format the SD card when you put it in? Sorry been sick as hell, haven’t been around much,

I’ll have to look around settings and see if there’s anything that has it overwrite before the SD card is full (I use a 128gb SD card in each one)

These are the ones in mine

I had this guy come to my door I was working, couldn’t answer the door, not that I would. I have a cctv camera system. Every time I tried to rewind to see this guy who left no card or package it would power the entire outlet off. I tried it using the phone app instead of the device and instead of the power resetting the internet went offline. After you posting this I tried to recreate the scenario. No dice. I will say that my lady had the Roku plugged into the monitor, which I haven’t tried yet.
That’s some dark arts shit right there. Spooky stuff! Might not have been a guy at all…….could’ve been a “visitor” don’t go opening the door for any of them dark eyed kids either, no matter how sad a story they tell you.

Stuff n things.

This is going to become a PITA pretty quick. I only have about a foot of vertical room they can grow and the stretch is just now starting. All but one are sativa doms too.

You have a pipe on your weed!

That breakfast looks amazing! Love me some taters!
Taters are fuel for us Irish folk, hell I probably wouldn’t even exist if it weren’t for a famine that happened 180 years ago. Not many other foods that I can think of that are as versatile as the potato, what other vegetable is used to pull meals together three times a day?

Are you thinking he was able to mess with it somehow? The cameras, wife, internet?
I don’t know what to think of it, I was gonna check it out the day it happened. I forgot about it and I thought the dvr was messed up. Florida posted it and I tried doing the same thing, which was rewinding or ff to see the guy’s face. I don’t remember what day it was so I used me . I have two variables missing which is her Roku and my work internet. I can’t troubleshoot those when I am working.

Check out all this stuff I won from a holiday raffle at a local dispensary. A bunch of different cbd and cbg products, stickers, edibles, a hat, socks, Tshirt, coffee mug, pint glass , papers, lighter, and a gift card.

yes, i formatted, it's on 64gb though, which is what i have coming with my 2 cameras today (and wtf is the mail person late af on days you're waiting on shit?) i'll get the 128's if the problem persists.

IIRC there are devices you can carry that cause intense electromagnetic interference and you can buy them on the dark web and in the black market

Def sounds like dude was up to no good regardless. Either that or worked for the government or something idk

I’m def going back to straight cool white fixtures for vegging my clone mothers. Nice vibrant growth. But a lot slower growing and much tighter node spacing. Makes me miss my old t5 clone mom setups

These two have been under predominantly cool white from my long shop light fixture. They are older than the next two though. the one o nthe right is pb4 and she burns under the full spectrum panels real easy, but loves the sun and loves the cool white. Shes a bit light burned along the side that was closer the full spectrum panel. She kinda split the gap, didnt much care for the full spec panel
IMG 2807

These two are a good bit younger clones. But man, they grow super gnarly under the full spectrum panels I flower under by comparison. These have been getting more light intensity as well
IMG 2808

at least for vegging, the growth under the full spectrum panel is far far faster. The plants grow bigger leaves and get bigger faster, not exactly comparable. But in every other regard, for vegging at least, the cool white is pretty overwhelmingly superior it seems

ive been calling this an LED sensitivity, but obviously its a spectrum sensitivity. She doesnt burn under the sun, and ive had sun friendly peaceblasters that grow fine under hps but burn under full spectrum panels before. They never burned under my cool white t5, but this fixture is cool white led and they seem to do pretty on par with my old cool white t5 fixtures.

very cool stuff,

"David Attenborough has explored the concept of plants using chemical defenses in his documentaries. In the 1995 series The Private Life of Plants, particularly in the episode titled "Growing," he examines how plants defend themselves against herbivores and competitors, including the use of chemical deterrents.
IMDb

More recently, in the 2022 series The Green Planet, Attenborough delves into the intricate relationships between plants and their environments. In the first episode, "Tropical Worlds," he highlights how certain plants engage in chemical warfare to protect themselves from threats like leafcutter ants and invasive fungi."

here's a short but interesting read:

I did a grow one time where I plucked all the fans and only left the sugar leaves and a couple fans within buds. Wasnt intentional, I just decided to pluck any and all fans that started to yellow until there weren't any left. Then the sugar leaves started to yellow. The harvest was fine but didn't live up to the genetic's full potential because they were underfed.
May i pet you?
