Well my thoughts are about the same as chucky's ( wait did i say i'm in agreement with chucky? LOL )😂
they got too tall for the little cells and there heads were too heavy LOL. Instant culling by nature🙈

I’m with you on putting them out into the sun for a few hours when it’s warm enough! I think they like a little blast of full spectrum sunlight no matter how small they are!! if it was damping off, I would expect to see their little noggins, shriveling up and dying! Looks like you’ve got a full day of transplanting ahead! That beldia looks perfect for your area! And the Iranian not bad either! Right on,Cpurrr!😍

Yeah I don’t think they’re damping off like Chucky said they would be all wilted just got to lanky n tipped over. You just got a early super cropping on em 😂😂A transplant I feel would save them. Did you have a fan blowing near them to keep em wigglin’ to stiffen those stems up ?? Very important also if not get one on them after transplant

Yep, no fan inside, so the stems are thin.
I did prop a couple up, but they didn't want to stay vertical, then they died.

Y'all are right, damp off usually happens right at the soil line, not halfway up.
Another lesson: Fans on seedlings are a must.
And to think of it, I did have fans last year, just never thought of it this year.

Another year older and fewer brain cells. LOL

I had them under LED shop lights augmented with 'grow' strip lights stuck stuck on between the original lights.
A very low budget setup, but I thought it would be fine 'cause my geraniums and roman chamomile did wonderfully under them.
Now, I DID notice the tomato seedling's cotyledon leaves looked fried and they haven't done much for a week.
Possible that I over stressed the weed seedlings too and it wasn't as obvious.

How high above seedlings ?? When I started them under led shop lights I would damn near set the lights RIGHT ON THEM and never had any fry. How many did you lose ??

Is that straight coco coir they are in ? Possible those maters could need just touch of feed ??

It's a Burpee Seed Starting mix and yes probably mostly coco.

About 6 inches. Don't know how many I lost but as long as they're NOT females....
The tomatoes on the other hand... think I'll start looking at the local markets for transplants.

Actually, I'm gonna wait till the morning till I decide what to do.
Just transplanted over 30 geraniums. Waiting to see if they survive before I do the rest.

I will, I just ordered bio fungicides for the dirt and am thinking of spraying the nearby hedgerow with copper.
I pretty sure the septoria come from it.

Neem concentrate or sulphur can help a bit with septoria, but if your having issues with it go heavier on a myco inoculant. I've top dressed with a high quality myco inoc to totally seporia riddled plants and after all the septoria infested leaves died and fell off.

Really want to grow out a few of yours to challenge their mold resistance.

And, I'm going to spray the hedgrow with fungicide to try and knock down possible Septoria this year. I can't spray the tree trunks or branches all the way up, but I can hit all the dead leaves and weeds on the ground. Got this one coming today,

Use a high quality myco inoculant if your having septoria issues, Sulphur spray works too

Thanks for the recommendation. I do have sulfur and will spray the surrounding plants with it, but I don't want to spray my weed plants if I can help it.
BTW, which myco inoculant did you use?

Great white is kind of the standard. There are others that people swear by that I can think of rn. Little bit goes a long way. But I have used inoculants on plants that were all riddled with septoria and watched as all the septoria infected leaves fell off and died.

Thanks much! Do you have pics of the plants? Were the leaves that fell off near the bottom?
And did you spray the plants too?

The septoria that ruined my plants last year eventually reached the sugar leaves and I had to destroy all.
