First time grow; leaves losing their color

Update: No pictures today. But I did switch the lights over to 12/12.

I noticed the humidity was at almost 70 percent when the lights went off and temperature was around 65.

Should I be concerned about such a high humidity now that I switched over to flowering? Or is it not a big deal if it drops back down to 50 percent when the lights come on?

Wondering if I should turn on the heater in the tent to maintain adequate humidity levels.
Most people dont calculate VPD but its a good idea if you can only control one parameter. If you can play with temperatures or humidity get to a combination that is good for early flower wether the lights are on or off. But when they are off a little bit more cold is not bad unless its very cold.

About the mold, high humidity in flower creates mold when the buds already fattened. Still climate plays an important role on nutrient absorption, root and leaf transpiration and growth so its good to always have it tuned it as best as you can.

Update: Start of day two for flowering. Will be transitioning to Tiger Bloom liquid nutrient come next watering.

Still trying to figure out what I'm going to due about high humidity levels at night. Will probably end up putting in a dehumidifier.

Keep the veg nutes unitl 3rd week of flower, they use the same ph and nutes for the first three weeks, perhaps even more nitrogen, they will stretch to double their size in most cases. After the stretch you can swap to bloom nutes. Unless youre following the chart, in that case do what they say but I do use veg nutes or a combo of veg and bloom nutes the first 3 weeks of flower. Since its a tripart I guess they had that into consideration when creating the chart.

Thanks I'll be sure to do that.

This is another concern of mine. I'm fighting to keep humidity in an acceptable range. I don't know what's accurate though. The digital or the mercury thermometer/humidity

Thats a very cheap thermohygrometer and I had one similar. In the back you can calibrate the humidity with a screwdriver otherwise theyre not accurate for humidity, they suck. Rely on the digital one.

I checked the temperature last night about an hour after the lights went off. I was right around 65 degrees, which I don't think is bad. The high humidity levels are concerning.

I took my pepper plants out of the grow tent today so I can make room for the dehumidifier. The last thing I want is my bud to get moldy after all this waiting. That would be a sad day indeed.

If your tent has ok humidity when the lights are on but peaks during cool down you have a problem. The tent walls retain heat more than air so as the air temp drops the ability of the air to hold water decreases and can wind up on the walls.
Knowing your environment is key. If you can afford it get a 3 pack of digital temp and humidity sensors, bonus on an app for your phone. Use it as a deal breaker when faced with sensor readings that are off. Move them around looking for airflow patterns. Leave one outside the tent to monitor incoming air and humidity. So many things to use those for and they are like $35
Ps even the cheap ones have data logged info you can review trace and see what happens through the day. That's how I found the need to increase duct one step at lights out for humidity control.

Good to know. Thank for the info.

I made room in my tent today for a dehumidifier that I can set to whatever humidity levels I want. Will be putting in there in a little bit.

Looks like it could be a Mg deficiency to me, you said you were using RO water.
I've have been supplementing with cal mag. It's only been 2 times I've used cal mag now. I forgot to add it yesterday when I watered.

Update: Day five of flowering. Plants are starting to stretch quite a bit, and a lot of pistols are developing. Also, my grow tent is already starting to stink 🦨 🦨

End of first week of flowering. Do you guys think I will see buds soon?

Hey guys, have not posted in a while but I'm close to one month flowering.

Leaves are turning a ugly yellow quite fast. Is this normal?

They look overfed/locked out. And pissed off there's so much dead rotting leaf material left in the pot. That's a bad habit to get into my brother I would clean that up pronto
That's what I was thinking. I backed off the nutes completely. Plan on giving the just straight reverse Osmosis water for a bit. Do you think I should add cal-mag to my reverse Osmosis water still?

I always do. But always half strength or less. It's an EC hog. Out of everything I feed my plants, calmag will raise the EC the most ml/ml
