How accurate? It’s gotten better. Way better. 🤣

I use it without problems but as far as precision, there are probably better devices like @RoadKillSkunkHunt posted.
It's the cost to consider. Is it worth the expense for what you get? I bought a quantum light meter a few years back. I used it for a few grows but since then it's stayed in its case. As far as gadgets go, the one I linked to is relatively affordable. Would it be better than a free phone app? I don't know ... ballpark numbers are usually enough to help out in a grow.

That’s true. It’s not exact but I don’t think that it’s too far off.

Well the light was the most expensive. 300 dollars for the light. Tent, carbon scrubber and what not. Stuff adds up. Ive pretty much bought whatever I need. A couple more small purchases and I'll be satisfied.
Light bar makes sense. What did you go with?

I'll definitely check out the app and see where I go from there. Once I get my cost to produce a substantial amount of weed( more weed than I can smoke and share) to be cheaper than the 150-200 ounces id pay for off the street or at a dispensary...I'll be happy. Plus it's a good feeling knowing exactly what my weed is and how it was grown.

I’ve never run their bars before but 450 watts will do the trick. Just watch the output. I have a 420 watt Phlizon I call the “tip toaster” for a reason 🤣
Well it's a 300 watt dimmable light. But I also have a 100 watt led light I bought for like 60 bucks. So all together I'm running 400 watts in 8 square feet.

The vivosun light has a really nice build quality which I like a lot.

I use a vivosun 32" x 60" x 80" tent for my veg tent. I like the size of my tent. It's good equipment and vivosun is known for decent gear. I hope the light serves you well.

For reference, I have 480 watts on a dimmer in mine so wattage wise things sound like a good match for your tent. Just don't feel like you need to crank it all at 100% for your whole grow. There is actually a thing called "too much light" sometimes.

Sounds like wall to wall lighting ... not a thing wrong with that as long as its safe.

The crazy thing is the smell is there. Like when I walk downstairs in the morning I get a wiff of weed and they are not even flowering yet. Really makes me question if my scrubber is doing anything lol.
I use vivosun but my brand preference for a lot of gear is AC Infinity. I have the AC Infinity 8" scrubber system running through my UIS system. If the tent is kept closed, it keeps the odor down but doesn't completely eliminate it. Your tent would have to be pretty air tight to keep some odor from escaping the tent completely. I don't think its a problem with your gear or a brand issue. It has more to do with a tent not being air tight in the first place.

It’s good at getting most of it but not all. Mine is a Vivosun and does the same. I have mine for heat removal more than anything.

What nutrients would you recommend?
If you like liquid nutes, The GH trio is fairly inexpensive and available everywhere. I like dry nutes because I'm cheap and don't want to pay for shipping water. I've had good luck with Jack's and Masterblend. But the nutes all work.
So would you say using Reverse Osmosis water is a bad thing? Should I just use tap water and bring my PH down with lemon juice?
Under LEDs and in an amended soil mix, the only week I give straight RO water is right before chop. Otherwise, I'm either feeding or supplementing with calmag (through week 3 of flower) or mag sulfur (week four of flower through the second to last week).

I withdraw my "hungry" guess/diagnosis, btw. 18 days probably isn't enough time for plants that size to exhaust the nutes in that much amended soil.

Plants are about 15 inches. But back to the cal mag. If I continue using Reverse Osmosis, should I use cal mag with every watering?
